I'd much rather see Walker in the Wing back position.. Esp after today's game. He can be even more effective than Trippier in that position plus a true central defender is needed against Belgium.

Walker is so pacey he can basically fit the role of a centerback and right back at the same time. Kind of like how Kante with Chelsea and France can basically fit the role of 2 CDM's by himself. Both allow an extra player up the pitch in attack who don't have to worry as much about defending.
This decision will get Southgate the sack or a trophy. If I played against England I would target Walker. His positioning and aerial prowess is less than ideal. Stick a big man on him or, like Tunisia did, feign injury in preparation for cheating via VAR.
Don’t know about the world class full back. Sure he is a great option for attacking but he had made some hugely poor error for city in the back and constantly draw fouls
Actually trippier should be the centre back. Walker is better than trippier at attacking. And his pace will help In attack a lot
