Ridiculously talented squad playing against a fairly weak field compared to previous generations and the guy still can’t get it done. He’s already proven he can’t win. The team is good enough that give him enough chances and something could happen despite him being inept.
My old Mothers faster than Grealish. He slows the game down and then passes backwards because the opposition now have 11 players behind the Ball. Get Anthony Gordon in he's a nightmare for defenders.
People always blame Kane for the penalty against France but the truth is, we didn't look like we were going to score from open play. We relied on two penalties. Where as France looked dangerous.
Prepare to watch Kane, Bellingham, Saka and Foden stranded up top while Maguire, Phillips and Henderson endlessly recycle the ball in our own half until we are picked off in the quarter finals.

Southgate doesn’t pick players inform. He shouldn’t be manager.
Southgate has taken England as far as he can. He's not picking players based on merit he's holding alot of them back due to his cautious tactics. I just don't think he's good enough. Also I do generally believe that Southgate is still in the job cos of his beliefs. We all know how football is becoming far too pantomime fat too political & Southgate is a massive part of that pushing out that narrative. The team have also outgrown him. Overall he's done a very good job but I think it's time to change the guard once the Euros are over regardless of whether we win or not

Jose Mourinho should be the next England manager, at least he's had experience with winning trophies. Unlike Southgate who got relegated with Middlesbrough and he gets to be England manager. Similar thing happened with Roy Hodgson, he got West Brom promoted and he got the England job. My point is that our last two managers managed medioca clubs (no disrespect) but we should hiring Super class managers who have been successful with more elite clubs.
If Southgate makes one tactical change in a meaningful game that works and we win that game I will never say another bad word against him, unfortunately I can’t remember him doing that ONCE in 7 years.

I get winning a tournament isn’t a given as anything can happen in football games, but it’s so blatantly obvious he’s out of his depth
We’ve brilliant depth in attack and attacking midfield areas, but we’re still lacking elite quality at left back, centre half and goalkeeper. Add in Southgate’s failings we will fall short again the first serious test we face at the tournament
Wow the excuses for Southgate here are delusional….the guy never makes changes to win games or change things! He only ever reacts when its after the other team has made changes and most changes are negative, defensive or like for like. He has friendlies or nothing games and persists with players like Maguire and Pickford who we all know will be picked anyway. The guy is inept, he actually hasn't won anything and this will be his 4th tournament not including the Nations league which we still didn't win!!
GS is not using the squad to there strengths. The squad is a fully built attacking team. Fing use it as such !
the problem with England is that Southgate he doesn't have a winning mentality, how can you be okay with your team drawing with North Macedonia and say that they played very well, what a load of nonsense.. England will NEVER EVER win anything with him in charge 😂🙄🤦🏾♂️

he’s a good politician but awful coach. Blessed with a talented team, and currently benefiting good tournament draws and from a majority of major nations having mediocre teams. But Still only has a record of 6 wins in 27 matches against top ten ranked nations.
When he’s done he Will not get a job in the premier league ( and has never been linked with a top job during his tenure )
