ESPN FC’s Sebastian Salazar and Herculez Gomez talk about Ethan Horvath’s chances for the World Cup roster as Zack Steffen is out of favour at Middlesbrough. Herc believes Ethan Horvath has the 3rd goalkeeper spot in line, whereas Seb thinks Sean Johnson is a better goalkeeper and better candidate to be selected with his experience.

  1. Lest we forget Horvath also played the last 7 or so minutes of the 2022 Playoff Final at Wembley for Nottingham Forest, so he has probably been in the most adverse situations of ANY of the USMNT goalkeepers in the last calendar year or so

  2. How about a keeper that's currently starting for a club in the Champions League; Josh Cohen. Sure he plays in the Israeli league, but unlike Steffen who would only play the 5th and 6th game when there was nothing on the line for City, Cohen actually contributes to his club in the Champions League.
