As a Jets fan, I genuinely don't understand how people are giving up on Zach Wilson. As you said, he was supposed to sit behind Aaron Rodgers to develop and learn. He only had one preseason to do so before Rodgers got hurt. With that one preseason, Zach Wilson outplays THE Patrick Mahomes, imagine Zach with that preseason, potentially the rest of this season with a massive morale boost if Rodgers can actually pull this off, and the rest of next season (based on Aaron's "Take over for a FEW seasons, then hand it right back to Zach…"). I believe that Zach "The Cougar Hunter" Wilson is still very raw and malleable but with the mentorship of Aaron Rodgers and Robert Saleh, the Jets can mold Zach Wilson into a star. I don't think he should be benched, he needs the experience, but he does need help. Something has to be done about this, also very developable, O-Line.

I think he should keep rehab going with the intent to come back for the playoffs if the jets pull off a miracle and get in. If not then he should just rest for next year no reason to risk further injury if there's no post season opportunity.

I am curious to see how far Aron Roger's will go. How many games will they win with him as quarterback. I doubt it if they will make it to the playoffs. But If they win the majority of their games with Aaron Roger's the Jets will be able to see the strengths and weaknesses of their team to get new guys from the draft picks for next year. ZACK WILSON IS A VERY BAD QUARTERBACK. IF ALL THE GOOD PICKS THAT THE Jets received Aaron Roger's could make a drastic change for the team.
