Offside decision correct? Mistake restarting the game and blowing the whistle for full-time? Let us know your thoughts.
I don't think it's offside to begin with since it was like a 2nd play after the defender's head and Griezmann wasn't offside at all at this moment, plus he didn't get anything from his offside in the first play, he didn't play the ball and just waited. And the VAR should intervene only when there is a clear mistake.
But the fact that the referee blew the final whistle before the var came in is even worse and isn't allowed…
What's up next time they call the teams the day after and tell them the result is different because they review an action at the 44' ? Or maybe the players needs to come back to shoot a penalty ? That's just absurd.

The Canadian player made a deliberate play on the ball after which off side lines should have been reset. Makes no difference that it was a bad play. France was robbed and TV announcer, and evidently the VAR Official and Ref had no idea what the rules were.
With different phases of the ball didn't go to the scorer from initial pass how could he be offside for the second phase as it headed by a defensive player

Why so much controversy in your so called Offside in football (soccer) FIFA rules. Offside is an ugly thing in the game in it's natural way. Why FIFA, the game's governing body is not yet considering to remove the Offside rule completely as done by the world governing body in Field Hockey (FIH).
