Nicolas Tagliafico | Argentine Defender Skills

Nicolás Alejandro Tagliafico (Spanish: Nicolás Alejandro Tagliafico; born August 31, 1992, Buenos Aires) is an Argentine footballer who plays as a defender for the Ajax club and the Argentina national team. Participant of the 2018 World Cup.

Tagliafico began his career at Banfield. On March 12, 2011, in a match against Tigre, he made his debut in the Argentine Example. On April 22, 2012, against San Lorenzo, Nicholas scored his first goal for Banfield.

In the summer of 2013, Tagliafico moved on loan to Spanish side Murcia. On September 15, in a match against Mirandes, he made his debut in the Spanish Segunda. After the end of the loan, Nicholas returned to Banfield and helped the club return to the elite.

In early 2015, Tagliafico moved to Independiente. The transfer amount was 1.8 million euros. On February 15, in a match against Newell’s Old Boys, he made his debut for a new team. On October 5, in a duel against River Plate, Nicholas scored his first goal for Independiente. In 2017, he helped the club win the Copa Sudamericana.

In early 2018, Tagliafico moved to Ajax Amsterdam, signing a 4.5-year contract. On January 21, in a match against Feyenoord, he made his debut in the Eredivisie. On March 11, in a duel against Heerenveen, Nicholas scored his first goal for Ajax. On September 19, in the Champions League match against the Greek AEK, he scored a “double”.
