  1. It just comes down to who the club is placing their bets on. No matter how well Trossard plays,Martinelli is Arsenal 's big hope for the future. Jesus has a bigger status here.
If we look at it from a black and white perspective, there is absolutely no reason Trossard is not a first teamer.

  2. I would even go as far to say he should be ahead of Jesus in the pecking order if Jesus is fit as well . Guys a baller . Even though we got absolutely fleeced by Chelsea on Havertz I’m glad they took Mudryk so we could get this gem for a quarter or mudryks price . Play him arteta !

  3. The reason Trossard does not play more is because physically he cannot handle the demands. He gets alot of little injuries and niggles as soon as he get a little run of games. He struggles to impose himself against teams that are physical but does wonders when teams get tired later on in games and lose concentration. As someone else in the comment section pointed out Trossard has rarely ever started games and given anything more than an average performance. His impact is off the bench.

  4. This debate proves what a squad we have , love hearing fans and pundits give our bench players massive credit. Martinellie to good and that’s why he does not start. Simple as. Jesus injured trossard plays

  5. Because its arteta , he has his favorites and it hurts the team .
Dudes playing havertz lol whos been absolute trash

Rayas been making mistakes directly leading to goals yet he doesnt get benched

Arteta will be the reason arsenal regress and finish third this year .
    Behing man c and liverpool

  6. If someone says Trossard should be a regularly starter then you know they don't watch Arsenal every week.

Trossard thrives when he comes off the bench, give him too many starts, and then he becomes ineffective.

Also, Mikel started Trossard as an 8 during pre-season, he was pushed around and didn't do any defensive work because he is a foward player (LW, False 9, RW).

  7. Anyone who says he isn't effective when he starts doesn't know what they are talking about. Last season we won at ton of games with him starting as the 9,this season he has scored in 3 of his starts. He was always a starter for Brighton and their bets player in most games.

He could easily start for Arsenal, but arteta is not gonna bench martinelli, saka or Jesus.

  8. Trossard played CF well against weak teams, but he'd likely struggle to play his back to goal against top teams' CBs. As for the LW position, Martinelli is pacier and trickier

  9. Thanks for proving you don’t watch arsenal, more often then not this season when he’s started he’s done nothing

  10. Trossard has his own flaws. physically weak, not quick and explosive enough as Martinelli or Nketiah, Jesus.. but he’s a very very efficient player. happy to have him!

  11. I think he can play in the 'advanced Xhaka' role. But it's either him or Martinelli really, thats his best position. Start one and the other becomes an equally important power sub.

  12. The issue with trossard is simple, physically he just doesn't fit the criteria for the manager.

Doesn't have the athleticism, to play in the forward line consistently, doesn't have the physicality to play in midfield.

    Quite sad really.
