  1. Every time i come to these vids I'm just shocked with the commentary… Its Nations League. Berhalter should be giving players opportunities. Nations League is not a major tournament. Its not the Gold Cup. He gave players opportunities to prove their worth in a tournament with some pressure. USMNT end up winning against an extremely defensive T&T. Just because US keeps being the reps for this section of the footballing world doesnt mean they are lightyears ahead of the other countries. Arguably, I feel that the talent here has stagnated behind players like Pulisic, Weah, and company. They should be taken out if they arent playing or playing well for their clubs. You need to give young player opportunities to prove themselves in games gradually increasing in pressure. They also won albeit on the back of late goals, but that happens when teams are fairly matched and one side plays very defensively.

Like it sounds like a they just dont like him there and want him out or dont understand the game or where US aligns in according to the rest of the world. Tough win. They need to sort the kinks, but he at least is giving them an identity (way to play the game) instead of just a "run more than everyone else and we can win".

  2. Herc: 5-4-1 bad for Balo. True, bad for any 9. Pepi saw the futility and visualized the move to beat that keeper, so props to him. Still, would like to see us in a 4-1-3-2 to use Pepi and Tillman more effectively as support. Just not against a bunkering team like T&T.

  3. IMHO Balogun is an important player but his confidence isn't there (right now) and you have to be FLEXIBLE and visualize maybe playing with two. What I DID like from Berhalter was that he did NOT take him out, and instead added Pepi too. But super true about the Berhalter "Playing Time" bit. It's that kind of nonsense and double speak which gets him in trouble. Just don't comment or say: "I made the decision." and leave it at that.

  4. With no reliable real wingers available, the obvious answer is 3-5-2 in the second leg. Balo and Pepi up top and Jedi and Dest bringing the width. Gregg has mentioned wanting to integrate that formation at some point. Now it makes the most sense to implement it next week.

  5. "Who did he have" Yall forgot to mention Luca De La Torre. LDLT is underrated, he can play any spot in the midfield and look good doing it. When we went to 2 strikers I think a 442 diamond with Reyna at the top, Luca on the left and Weston on the right and Musah as the 6 would have been nice. I think Luca brings close to the same intensity as Aaronson but it better at retaining possession and advancing the ball and is a more creative passer. I cant think of a single time I've thought LDLT had a bad game for us.

  6. It is clear to me no one is going to be happy with Berhalter regardless of results. Won? Would have won by more if not for Berhalter. Player has bad game? Berhalter's fault. Player has good game? In spite of Berhalter.

  7. Play was Anemic first half, and with a man down still couldn't make it happen until the very end of the game – felt like we were lucky to break through at the very last minute with the win.

  8. Berhalter is a clown. Bad decision after bad decision. He needs to go or this generation of players will be lost. Shame on US soccer for allowing this to happen.

  9. That park the bus strategy by T&T had Pepi written all over it. Balogun thrives in games that are more open, pitting two more evenly matched opponents. And Pepi does not. Shocked Herc brought up Zendejas, honestly shocked he was called up. Has had multiple opps with the usmnt and hasn’t produced a single thing .

  10. I get the 3-5-2 against camping teams which we will see a lot in CONCACAF but what do we do with Pulisic in those games then? Also the 3-5-2 is a defensive counter attacking formation and if you think about it Jedi and Dest were at the 18 yards box the vast majority of the game anyway. Finally now we see why we played those friendlies against lesser teams that also camped against us. We need to find a way to break the low block with a formation that also will work against top teams.

  11. The gym teacher couldn’t break down a low block from a team that had 10 men lol. They called him world class coach when he was rehired

  12. If the players aren’t getting club playtime, wouldn’t that want the manager to bring them in to GET PLAYTIME?? How else will they improve??

  13. ive been saying whats going on for awhile about Pepi playing more…..I think a nice defensive crew would be Chris Richards instead of Dest and move Dest up to midfield. Weah was great as a Right winger, and I think Pulisic should also play Right winger so one can start and change at half. I feel like some players lack a little confidence to be clinical in the box to score….just try to get on Pepi's vibe, be calm and do your best and if it doesnt work dont get mad, smile and go again, I heard Grealish say God likes a trier …so keep trying and get one in the goal. It doesnt even need to be pretty , toe poke , whatever , I know its a mental thing and its not easy. But I believe you guys can do even better! Keep it up! I'd love to see Jedi and Aaronson play more together and do some cool overlapping passes etc that could lead to shots on goal or cross passes to Pepi. Also…. I dont know what the exact plan is for corners but it seems like a quick pass to the corner of the outside box might be more effective than sending it towards the goal w hopes of a header…..Just my opinions….i may very well not know what im talking about….thanks for listening….

  14. Tab Ramos. He’s the next man up. He legitimized the u-17 and u-23 systems. He trained most the youngsters on the team. He has a vision and style of play. He is long over due.
