  1. Even a Liverpool fan can see this is unfair. Chelsea and Man City have done much worse for much longer. Why no punishment? The premier league is rotten to the core

  2. Just so the PL can 'prove' they can manage their own affairs – they scapegoat Everton. Carra is right…the top 6 were happy to destroy the PL and got fined less than £3m each for that.

  3. Why is this excessive i dont understand. They broke the rules whcih helped them stay up. Why should other clubs get releagated because Everton cheated?? 10 points is not enough

  4. i understand why they need to go after everton but they really need to go after the bigger clubs for ffp breaches now. Like 100% need to or the league is dead.

  5. Don't worry folks, Everton will still find a way out of relegation even if they don't deserve to, we've seen this drama too many times and already know the outcome.

  6. Why would you get punished for losing $120m when it’s ok to be money laundering and injecting billions into the team to make the competition unfair? It’s just a reflection of wider society clearly

  7. Carragher bottling it because hes from Liverpool. Everton spending more money than theyre earning and basically cooking their own books is blatant disregard for FFP.
Whats the Premier meant to do? Fines? Transfer embargos? Is that really a correct punishment for what is essentially cheating?
The precedent has been set. Watch out City and Chelsea. Keep strong Premier league.

  8. if they manage to stay up fair play to them. how can they get docked 10 points when chelsea spent 1 billion over 2 seasons and city buy 80 mil bench players

  9. you cant compare cheating financially to teams going into a super league….Everton can't sustain themselves clearly and have cheated those teams around them that got relegated over the past years…points deduction has to be given, mainly cus Everton paying a big fine just makes them even more unsustainable…they'll stay up easy even with the deduction…one win and they're most likely out the bottom 3 straight away…if there was ever a season to take a points deduction its this one as the teams that came up are not good, next season teams like Leicester and Leeds will be back making it harder

  10. 19.5 million over 3 years on interest on stadium build . They said no sporting advantage. A lot of clubs should be very worried today. The idiots at the premier league have opened Pandoro's box and wont get the lid back on.

  11. Corruption at its finest. We know who controls the league. Let’s not pretend it anymore, football is not football, it’s a political money spinning machine.

  12. Over the past 3 years the Premier League have made Everton Sell players( for less than value). Stopped us from signing players. Then after we bend over backwards, take 10 points off us anyway. Might as well have told them to do one and not have had religation battles. This is over £20 million, you only 9 Points for going into administration.
Premier League is Corrupt. 10 points from Everton. What will you do to City,Chelsea and others? I bet nothing.

  13. We can’t be two-sided about this. The FFP should have teeth. And quite honestly, if there was a season to take a ten point deduction, it’s this season. Who knows when you will get three new promoted sides who are weaker than Burnley, Sheffield United, and Luton Town.
