  1. I doubt he would've stayed at Ajax for much longer. Someone would've signed him. Whoever ended up with him would almost certainly have paid less than half of what ManU forked out, though.

  2. Man United..a team of desperation these days…Ten hag is not doing the job, the players are a farcical misfitting mob of bling boys that have issues remembering what the were hired and overpaid to do…Rashford has gone awol, moaning long face..just keeps that up, Maquire writes his own press clippings, telling you how good he is, stat wise, Antony just kicks people, Armband is uncertain of what position he was hired for, Evans is wondering why he came back, Anana is leaving to get less stick, Mount may as well stay a sub, Casameiro..(sp) seems set for another RED card, and Ratcliffe is bringing in a cycling coach involved in possibly supplying a rider with…"stuff" to help him pedal better….Meantime, de boss has still got Sancho issues, and certain players think he has special players he dotes on…….other than that…go Fulham

  3. All that time spent, manutd could appoint a de zerbi or howe to build a strong team with passion to upset other teams. Why manutd dont see players like mitona, lamptey, almiron etc

  4. Say what you want about Antony as a player but why does nobody ever mention why Antony cost so much in the first place? United’s higher ups stalled all summer and waited until the last few hours of the last day of the transfer window to sign him. That is why he cost so much. Ajax drove the price through the roof as a result.

  5. What people don’t appear to realize is that Antony would thrive with a City or Brighton type team. He’s a technical player who’s playing on the wrong team. If you actually watch Antony play, he actually works very hard up and down the wing. He tracks back defensively, puts a shift in, and very rarely loses the ball. The problem is he very often has to pass the ball backwards or sideways because he doesn’t quite have the pace to get around defenders down the line. Furthermore, he plays on a counterattacking team when he’s much better suited for a possession team that pass and move in smaller spaces. He’s on an island out on the right wing and doesn’t have enough support to operate with because of his limitations.

  6. Antony is just as one footed as someone like Grealish. If you actually watch Grealish play, 99% of the time he just cuts back onto his right foot again and again. It’s incredibly predictable yet you never hear anyone bring it up like people do with Antony. The difference between Antony and Grealish is that Grealish plays in a side the constantly possesses and circulates the ball. Antony plays in a side that does not possess the ball and counterattacks. That does not suit Antony’s style as he is a close control possession player who thrives in a passing team.

  7. Afraid to say but I think Anthony is going to be a flop at man utd i cant see him improving iv watched him for over a year now. I hope he proves me wrong

  8. was Ragnick right? He wanted to build Man U from the back to get the structure fixed! But in the process he got sacked because losing game…forgetting he wasn't really singed for role… He was in Germany a Manger not a Trainer as we call it but in England he got the job as a Manger … so Man U got his role twisted! Misunderstanding. He build up many clubs! But he is not a EN Manger/DE Trainer…

  9. What this team needed to do was ditch Bruno and build around Sancho as #10 when they signed him. Probably would’ve had cohesive football by now (like Dortmund) and then Cr7 at the time would add more trigger. Lol

  10. United always takes the easy way out…they buy famous players and not performers or learners, Sancho, Antony, Maguire and so on. The academy is finished. Ronaldo saga was a panic buy lest he would go to City…….and so on. And in the end…blame the manager….sack the manager

  11. I am still scratching my head how Anthony can worth 86M as every other club saw Anthony is a one legged, one trick pony. All Anthony can do is not looking for chance to assist, but just lower his head, cut in from the wide and shoot. Although i am still supporting ETH and think we should give him this season to turnaround team performance, but signing Anthony will always be a scar left by ETH.

  12. Anthony is like a relegation battle team starter. He just hasnt adapted to premier league top team status. What's the point of having a winger that cant create chances for the striker?

  13. The only problems at United are the players ,just give rid of weak players like Maguire,Marțial,Mejbri,Sancho,Lindelof, etc. They are just poor and stupid, expecially Maguire who îs too slow and stupid

  14. THIS MEDIA WILL CRITISISE FOREIGN PLAYERS BUT THEY CANT CRITISISE THE LIKES OF RASHFORD,MAGUIRE….RASHFORD HAS BEEN POOR THIS SEASON BUT THEY WILL NEVER CRITISISE HIM

  15. James Olley spot on about Man Utd. I would like to add fergie could rule with an iron fist because he was in a position of strength, He could turn to his bench and replace a problem without weakening the team. Its ironic Sancho is banished from the first team and despite all the efforts from senior players trying to tell him to apologize he stands stubborn and determined not to be beaten. i bet Ten Hag wishes he had a squad full of players with Sanchos attitude.

  16. Yes all he go is cut inside and play all those fancy stuff but without making any contribution. 85 million for a player like that. I think I can cut inside and shoot or contribute better than him. !!!

  17. My heart will sink as soon as l see Antony on the team sheet. But Erik for Christ’s sake if you do insist on picking him and the other winger waster, please please please play them on the opposite sides so they can hit the by line to provide crosses for Hojlund rather than the predictable cutting inside rubbish the two keep serving up! If l can see this, why can’t the manager and the coaching team!!!

  18. Anthony had no business being bought in the first place.

Erik Ten Hag believes that he is a smart enough to utilise sub-par players to succeed in the PL.

He is clearly showing that he isn't good enough as a Manager, but sadly people want to fault everyone else around him.

  19. When Ten Hag wants a player or style of play, he insists on it no matter what. Nothing can deter him ftom his choice regardless of the number of times it keeps failing.

He will gladly destroy that Club so long as he can play his desired way and use his preferred players.

  20. History is being revised here. True Antony has flopped thus far at United, but he was sought after by many clubs. YOur headline should read "Nobody would have signed Antony FOR THAT PRICE" but for Ten Hag.

  21. Agree guys. I also said it that if Ten Hag had not signed Antony, the top 6 sides definitely wont buy him even if the cost is below £30m. One article also said the Antony signing costing United £80m is money wastage and has to be the worst signing in the premier league history. United probably overpaid by at least £50m. Even Mason Mount signing, United overpaid by £25m as Mount only had a year left in his contract. United really goof in so many signings. They need to learn from Pep and Klopp on the tactic to sign outstanding players on the cheap.

  22. Having a good manager or coach, good players, good recruitment teams, good backroom staff, a good structure at all levels, big money
    Is not enough
Liverpool did not always had all of that for decades
But still managed to win some trophies domestic and European cups
    Very little moments to celebrate
But we enjoyed supporting our beloved LFC
We sang YNWA in every moment of sadness and joys
We lived every moments as it came

  23. Let's also not forget that this all started with the very public feud between Ten Hag and Ronaldo. Ronaldo is a club legend that literally catapulted Man U to a new stratosphere along with the rest of that incredible team. Ten Hag on the other hand did NOTHING for Man U…and yet they backed him when in the end, Ronaldo was completely right about things behind the scenes. ETH didn't seem to understand that many of these players grew up idolizing Ronaldo and probably even admitting to themselves that they would never accomplish what he has. To then witness one of the greatest players of this generation being trashed and disrespected by this nobody definitely rubbed other players the wrong way. It was never Ronaldos fault and ETH's ego was too big to understand this.
