On ESPN FC, Steve Nicol, Alejandro Moreno and Jan Aage Fjortoft feel that Darwin Núñez is scared and overthinking his goal-scoring opportunities after missing a sitter against Luton Town in the Premier League.

Nunez has to bury that chance but people appear to be ignoring that Nunez already has 7 goals and 5 assists through 15 games. Yes, he’s missed some big chances but if you actually watch him play he’s a menace.
Darwin Nunez is not suarez…he isn’t world class…stop blaming him….Arnold was horrible on defense on the wings….typical scapegoat club.
He is so much better when it’s just instinctive with no time to think about the finish. Can’t criticize him too much he’s playing well and getting in good positions and scoring goals, just not as many as he should be. It’ll come, he’s still young and new to the team
I like Darwin, loads of potential and pace but I don't think he is the striker we need, especially when compared to our best striker ever Luis Suarez. Going forward with this season and next, he won't win us crucial 3 points consistently.
I couldn't believe he missed
Nunez shouldn't be starting Liverpool's games he's best at the second half
Nunez. 😡😡😡
oohh so now tap-ins are now important ?! hehehe , this panel is hilarious
Super sub until he learns not to think too much and just put it in the net.
On his head is a Goal Post😂
Too many people change their minds on him one weeks he’s perfection the next he’s dreadful, give it a rest the guy has always been class just had a poor game, and not even that really their keeper kept them in the game massively, why klopp played macca in dm I’ll never know get endo on there or stick gravenberch there, let him be a free moving dom
Nunez has more g/a than man u’s attack. He just needs to finish sitters then he may challenge haaland for best striker in the prem
Nunez, am sure he didn't play street football where the post are much smaller, if not why would a professional striker miss a close range goal with a wider post. Its unbelievable.
Its okay to miss a hard shot, as no one expects it to go in and if it does, your are labeled amazing. If you miss an easy shot, you should be benched and if it continues dropped.
Some players just arent goalscorers. Stop trying to force them to be. Natural goalscorers dont have these types of missed. Even Lukaku wouldve put that one away. His problem is just big games get to him. Nunez just seems out of place.
In America, we call this Knoblauch syndrome. It comes from baseball.
Chuck Knoblauch was young, VERY promising talent with the MIN twins. He won ROY and the world Series with the Twins in '91. Made the Allstar team in 92 and won numerous gold gloves at 2nd base in the mid 90s. Went to the Yankees as a free agent for big $ and then … mysteriously came across a case of "the yips making the easiest throw in baseball, 2nd to first base. It compounded as time went on with him commiting more and more throwing errors. Until eventually, they had to take him off 2nd base. All at what should have been the prime of his career.
He never recovered and was washed out baseball within 2 years.
Rumour had it that , in practice, he was perfect and as impeccable as thise glory years with MIN, but when the real games came, so did the yips. All mental, and he couldn't shake it.
Still doesn't change the fact that he has more G/A sofar than the entire Man U frontline.
klop will have to bench him and shall not waste hope on him . Otherwise Liverpool might pay big for believing in Nunez. As from now his career is at stake , not succeed at liverpool: he will not succeed elsewhere . With the performance he has been giving ; Too unstable , I know well these kind of player . They have the Ora and style of something big , they concratize rarely in such a manner of spreading the hope , but most of time they fail . And when it's the striker (goal ) , your risking the whole team performance .
This guy has become a liability
Either he has eye problems or is too lazy to lift his feet at close range. something off with this guy.
