Marcelo Brozovic (Croatian Marcelo Brozović; born November 16, 1992, Zagreb) is a Croatian footballer, midfielder of the Internazionale club and the Croatian national team. Participant of the 2018 World Cup.
Brozovic began his career at the Hrvatski Dragovolac club. In 2009 he played 8 matches in the Second Croatian League. At the end of the 2009/10 season, Dragovolac entered the First League. In the top football division of Croatia, Marcelo made his debut on 24 July 2010 in a match against Dynamo Zagreb.
In the summer of 2011, after playing 22 matches and scoring 1 goal, Brozovic moved for 264 thousand pounds from Dragovolac, which was relegated to the Second League, to Lokomotiv Zagreb.
In August 2012, Brozovic’s transfer from Lokomotiv to Dynamo Zagreb was formalized. The transfer was £ 2.112 million and the player signed a seven-year contract. September 14, 2012 Marcelo made his debut for Dynamo in the match against Osijek. On 18 September Brozovic played his first UEFA European Cup match against Porto in the Champions League group stage.
In the summer of 2013, Kazan Rubin was interested in acquiring Marcelo, but the Croat did not move to the Russian club.
On January 24, 2015, Brozovic was leased to Internazionale Milan for a period of one and a half years with the option of buying it out. The midfielder chose his favorite number 77, under which Sally Muntari last played.
