Facundo Pellistri – Skills of the Talented Uruguayan Winger

Facundo Pellistri Rebollo (Spanish pronunciation: [faˈkundo peˈlistɾi]; born 20 December 2001) is a Uruguayan professional footballer who plays as a winger for Premier League club Manchester United and the Uruguay national team.

Pellistri is a youth academy graduate of Peñarol and has played youth football with La Picada and River Plate Montevideo. He made his professional debut on 11 August 2019 in Peñarol’s 2–2 draw against Defensor Sporting. He scored his first goal on 6 November 2019 in a 3–1 win against Cerro.

Manchester United
Pellistri joined Manchester United on 5 October 2020, for a reported fee of almost €10 million. He has played in two pre-season games, scoring in both. His first pre-season goal was on 18 July 2021 against Derby County in a 2–1 away win at Pride Park. On 12 July 2022 he scored in a 4-0 win against Liverpool F.C. in Bangkok.

Loans to Alavés
On 31 January 2021, Pellistri joined Deportivo Alavés on loan for the remainder of the season. He went back on loan to Alavés for the 2021–22 season.
