yes! randolph greatly improves our squad… hopefully fabs injuries are over for the season but think of the consequences if fab is out again, we'd definitely be in a relegation battle with only roberto and martin to rely on… don't get me wrong, martin has done well and i'd select him over roberto but he, like roberto, isn't up to this standard.. and this is not a position we can take much of a gamble on in a relegation scrap… now i don't think we'll be in a relegation scrap with a fit fab… but take fab out of that equation and without a randolph to fall back on that makes a very risky proposition… board is right to reinforce this position.. hopefully a contingency plan we wont need.. but it is sensible….
is he home grown? can loan out roberto and bring in sander then – sander + randolph is a good window.. assuming johnson is available? if not then a loan rb would fit the bill… as for strikers we have haller, antonio, ajeti and yarmo.. for one position we are fine… not as important as CM of GK imho
There is no spare overseas squad place for Randolph. Whereas there is a spare home grown squad space for Etheridge. Being under 21 at the start of the season Fernandes does not count as a squad player.
My concern with Gedson Fernandes is why did he fall out with the manager and why the manager has not resolved the problem? Young players who become to big for their boots normally are toxic and disrupt a balanced team.
We will get Randolph and Joe Allen, fact !! ( we already bid 5 mill for Allen, but stoke want 8 mill )

Fernandes mum lives in London I believe.
we still have 5 games to play this month so if Faba gets injured again we are stuffed if Randolph isn't ready and will have to rely on Roberto, if he is still with us or is Martin due back soon?
Not sure why people keep saying he had a fall out with the manager, and that's the reason he isn't playing… He isn't playing because he's not good enough and not better than the other midfielders. If he had a fall out he wouldn't have played the cup games during December as a starter, or be a used sub this weekend…
The amount of times I have hear people passing that along without having any clue of what is going on is astonishing
