Not really, he’s an academy boy, we went for a British record, him leaving allowed West Ham to get better, and he didn’t leave to join a rival. If they wanna boo rice then don’t get mad if he decides to celebrate scoring against west ham in the future
No issue with him being booed. If these so called top clubs want to keep a monopoly on talent and prevent other clubs progressing then fans can’t be criticised for feeling aggrieved.

Were not a minority, anyone who actually supports West Ham wont forgive him for telling the club he wants to leave and joining a rival club.
nonsense, murphy. For part of last season, his performances were indifferent. And his comments after joining Arsenal initially were less than respectful. And it's debatable whether he 'excelled.' His selfishness contributed to WHU having a poor PL season last season. His focus at times was not fully on west ham , even when the club was fighting relegation. I had no interest in booing him, but I certainly don't deify him as Murphy and Jim White seem to.

I get why West Ham fans would be upset. Because if saka went to Real Madrid I would be upset aswell. But boo’ing a player that loves the club is just crazy to me.

West Ham gave him a chance to resurrect a flagging career and coached the talent to the fore. West Ham gave him his first professional contract. West Ham gave him the captaincy and the chance to lift that trophy. He did not do it alone. West Ham paid him handsomely for his services. West Ham allowed him to move to Arsenal. Rice never even saw out his one and only contract.
