  1. Prescribed Vicodin after surgery, I hate taking pain medicine and took as prescribed the day of and one day after and then I weaned off and took ibuprofen or something and weaned off that too. Also, thankfully Vicodin made me itch, so after Day 2, I was done. Also, thankfully my pain tolerance is high according to the nurses. Again, I hate taking meds, especially, any pain pills. I don’t want to become dependent and stop as soon as possible; or Day 3.

  2. Stephen A makes a good point that drugs can have Different effects on people because all of our bodies are different. The irony is that he didn't pause to think this way during the Covid panic when he and his cohorts were trying to force an experimental vaccine on Everyone ! I'm glad to see that Stephen A has learned a valuable lesson. πŸ˜…

  3. I am a fan of friends, Chandler was my favorite character along with Monica as a couple while everyone was on the Ross and Rachael wagon, I enjoyed their antics, let's not forget that as an infant who had colic the doctors prescribed barbiturates of which the parents continue to give him to stop his crying, in his book he says what's more important to him is to be known as someone who helped people also with addiction, he said his motto is God first, clean house and help people.πŸ™πŸ½πŸ™πŸ½β€β€

  5. Matthew Perry’s experience and openness about his drug addiction really helped me with my sobriety. 6 years sober here. RIP Matthew Perry. This one hits hard.

  6. I never watched it, didn’t find it funny, but I understood the popularity of it. People related to the characters because they were these guy and girl next door type people. This guy aged so horribly because of the drugs he ingested. He was age 50s at death, but looked like 70s or 80s.

  7. EXCELLENT job by your producer to bring up that point about heroin. To a user, the effect is identical to higher doses of vicodin, percocet, oxy, hydrocodone, etc.. I was sitting here getting ready to post a comment saying the same thing before I got to the end of the video, but I'm glad you mentioned it. Hundreds of thousands of Americans were prescribed these opioid medications by their doctors, and either the prices jumped astronomically, or they were cut off completely. If you lack to resources to get help, (nowadays there are many but a few years ago it was not so easy), you really had few other options than to turn to street drugs like heroin. It was either that or become virtually helpless, as unbearable withdrawal symptoms kicked in. That is how ordinary people in the United States fell into the trap, and ended up turning to heroin as their only recourse.

  8. Stephen, I listened to every second of this video.
I couldn't agree with you more.

Thanks for making this video and talking about addiction .
