João Palhinha has signed for Fulham on a 5 year deal for a reported 17 million pounds. João Palhinha departs Sporting Lisbon after being contracted with the Portuguese club for a decade. João Palhinha was also a target for Wolves but Fulham have ultimately won the race. This video explains why João Palhinha could go onto be one of Fulham’s greatest ever signings.

EDIT: Important note – the correct name for the club he’s arriving from is Sporting Clube de Portugal. Not sure why we in the UK constantly refer to them as Sporting Lisbon.

As a portuguese, I'm surprised he went to Fulham too. But I'm glad;as many other players in recent years at Sporting, stood in the club for too long (Patricio, William Carvalho etc) and stagnated in their carreer. Better to introduce SOME change, and maybe after a very good season in the Prem a bigger club will pick him up. He also worked with Marco before at Sporting.
This guy is one of the best old-school CDMs in Europe. He'll make me add Fulham to the series of teams to follow in the Prem next year.I have a feeling Marco will manage to keep them up.

Lacks pace? Man, he alone takes care of the defending midfield. He is a true athlete. A great player, would be a great reinforcement for teams like United or Arsenal.
