  1. Gonzo, why on earth didn't you listen to the game on Radio 5 extra mate?? There was no buffering but the performance sounded just as bad on 5 extra though lol

  2. Evening fellas, top work as always enjoying all content across here and patreon atm. Keep it up. ⚒

I’d go with the same XI as the Liverpool game for this one. Aguerd is key for build up down the left especially against a side that’ll play a low block. That left hand side has flourished going forward so far this season with Paqueta drifting in and Emerson overlapping so I’d keep it as it is. Aguerd also possesses the recovery pace should we need to defend a counter. It’s a game to get his confidence up and a bit of form going into a couple of big games next week. Soucek starts for me because I think we’ve got enough creativity/technique in the middle with Alvarez, JWP & Paqueta floating in and out that Soucek can just push on and get into the box and attack any crosses that’ll inevitably come in. When we played against Luton, our two goals came from crosses and I anticipate a similar sort of task for this game. We missed Soucek that game imo and his late runs into the box to support Antonio could lead to him bagging a couple of goals. He also helps keep us solid defensively so worst case scenario is it’s 0-0 at 60 mins and Moyes brings on Kudus for Soucek in order to try and break them down. Antonio was actually the closest to being dropped for this one for me. Maybe dropped is the wrong word, rest probably suits it more with the big game on Thursday coming up. I feel Antonio struggles against low block sides in build up play and often loses the ball after a sustained period of possession which frustrates the life out of me. However, as Geo said, he deserves his start and I feel he’s the best option to try and hassle the back 3 of SHU. If he gets a couple of goals, his confidence will sky rocket and he’ll be well up for Thursday and newcastle. I’d love to see Kudus but am hoping to see him off the bench when we’re 2/3 up so he has no pressure and can play himself into the game and take his time to adapt. There’s no rush for him to come good straight away but I feel he will, I’d just do it slower than a lot of other fans would.

  3. As we only just beat Lincoln by 1 measly goal – hope we don't under-estimate Sheffield Utd with them having just been thrashed 8-0. It will be so West Ham to lose against them but hope not ⚒⚽

  4. If we don't win this game then sack Moyes. We have started the season well but we have, despite okay performances, lost 2 games in a row. If we lose to Sheffield United then I will start to worry that the beginning of the season was a flash in the pan.
In many ways this is our most important game so far. If we win then we know we are serious, if we lose then it was all luck.
Them coming off an 8-0 loss isn't encouraging, it's actually worrying because they won't be that bad. They will want to make up for the worst embarrassment in their history.
We need to be switched on and ruthless. Play with some freedom and show them why we are levels above them which we are.

  5. I hope Moyes doesn’t do to Kudus what he has done to others.
We’ll see Mubama needs a game starting up front if he scores it might elevate his confidence, we know he can score he needs confidence and actual experience otherwise he can’t prove himself he is a big lump too.
We have quite a few games coming up where I really fancy us.

  6. As a blade it's hard to disagree with the fact it's looking more likely than not that we go down. I will say we have had performances that deserve more than 1 point from 18, but the points are what matter. I will say that there have been some atrocious refereeing decisions that've cost us a few points at least (I.E Spurs and Newcastle's first three goals in recent memory). I disagree on Berge though, he very rarely showed his ability and was far too inconsistent. Ndiaye was the main loss that was hard to take but I'm sure Saturday will either be a slaughter or a shock. Either 3 or 4-0 to West Ham, or 1-0 to the Blades, I won't share which one I would prefer…..

  7. We do need changes like aguerd being dropped but we all know that's not going to happen moyes the muggy prick will play the same unless players he always dose oh moyes OUT by the way Divin should be on the bench every game in front of Ings

  8. Methinks it’s going to be a similar game as Bournemouth, with the same score line of 1-1. Really hope I’m wrong – COYI! ✊🏼⚒🦘

  9. I'd like to see Soucek dropped for Kudus, Kudus as a 10 behind Antonio and Bowen up top, 4-4-2 diamond with Alvarez dropping in between the CB's and Emerson and Coufal flying up the wings.

  10. there is no player in westham team better than kudus honoestly .so so shocking what is moyes mindset.kudus is a world class.real madrid, barcelona were all chasing him last summer but he wanted to play in premier legue he choose westham

  11. Moyes cannot play attacking football so against SU we will win but not by a big margin. This goal difference could cost us a European place via the league eventually. The team need to bury the lesser teams, not just win.

  12. Sheffield have been poor and lost to Lincoln in the EFL. This is a must win game for us for so many reasons. A clean sheet would be good also! Their thrashing to Newcastle could be what they needed to change their system/work on their ovbious weaknesses, Could their changes be our downfall? I certainly hope not but it may not be a walk in the park as we would hope for!

  13. Blades fan here. I hate to say it but we will get relegated and although i don't think hecky should get the sack i think he will by xmas but that will just make things worse.

  14. To keep at the top of the table, I hope we can rebuild our goal tally/difference in this match. Let's not get one or two and then sit back. Good point by Gonzo on Marshall.

  15. Not surprised that the signal was bad for the Lincoln game Gonzo. Lancashire is a long way from Lincolnshire 😉 Soucek played well against both Man City & Liverpool. He has also scored in his last 2 games. He looks like the Soucek we signed before Moyes pandered to Rice's insistence on changing his position. However, we are at home to a side in the bottom three and should sacrifice Soucek for Kudus for this one. We will need Soucek against Newcastle and especially at Villa

  16. Moyes is sleeping with Antonio. There’s no other reason for this Groundhog Day of relying so heavily on a very limited footballer playing out of position

  17. As much as I think West Ham will beat us tomorrow, everyone has seemed to have forgot we took City and Spurs to the last 10 mins, should have got a point against forest. I just think it could be closer than West Ham fans expect cuz we ain’t a push over just had a very poor game last week.

  18. Cliche but; 'form is temporary, class is permanent'. I'm backing Aguerd to come good, I like him, depsite the recent string of errors. That said, I really like Mavrapanos too, his highlight reel from Stuttgart is impressive, proper football player at both ends of the pitch. COYI!

  19. Sheff U 40% Possession 8-0. West Ham v Brighton 22% Possession won 3-1. I guess that is why Moyes does not lie awake at night worrying about it. Last season Bournemoth Went on a run after losing 9-0 to Liverpool and eventually survived.

They will be no pushovers but they did concede two goals from set pieces before half time. We should make book against these just doing what we no naturally.
Nice to hear the 200 Million myth getting another airing. Moyes did not have 200 million of talent at his disposal. Scamaaca Cornet and Aguerd all had lengthy absences and Packeta was bang average until the final third of the season.

This season all the new additions are fit and available. Only half the nominal spend but vastly more impact because they are all competing for places.
