SJ was definitely robbed and he knew it. He's been exceptional all year and scored the winning field goal in his last game but got zero points? Ponga didn't even attempt to start playing properly until he got dropped from Origin. Since then he has been brilliant. But based on his overall season he didn't deserve the Dally M. Obviously can't have another Kiwi win.

The only way Ponga gets the award over SJ is that there’s a couple other guys in the warriors who got points. No one in newcastle was competing with Ponga for points. Just another case of the league being morons. The Dally M’s have always been a joke. Alfie should have got a few Freddie should have got at least 2 and lockyer should have got 2-3 but instead there’s maybe 1 between those 3. Meanwhile guys who play in rubbish teams get rewards. The only fair way is to rate every player every week out of 10. Not just 3 players. Because there’s guys who been in losses by 1 point that deserved points but got nothing because they lost the game.
