Signed from Ajax in 2012, defender Jan Vertonghen has served the Club with distinction for the past eight seasons, amassing 315 appearances for us in all competitions and scoring 14 goals.

Belgiumโ€™s all-time record holder for the highest number of senior international appearances with 118 caps to his name, we thank Jan for his tremendous service and wish him every success in the future. He will always be a valued member of the Spurs family.

  2. Even though Vertonghen is now at Benfica, one of the best teams in Portugal, he will be forever in the heart of the Spurs

  3. With Super Jan going last year and now Toby and Coco some true leaders on the pitch who gave everything for us have now left. Wow, what a superb squad we had for those years.

  4. He seems a nice lad. On behalf of Chelsea fans, Sorry about that idiot troll Dan Nemeth. Who posted up the gloating Tweet on a Chelsea Twitter fan site. These are the scenes we love to see. When Jan, got what looked like a nasty head injury V Ajax. No matter who we support , no one wants to see that. Glad fans of all clubs condemned it.
