Top Spurs journalist Paul O Keefe revealed that Tottenham Hotspur’s Uruguay midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur will be back from his ACL injury that he sustained against Leicester City in around 3-4 weeks – which is much sooner than anticipated.

Spurs have had a strong start to the season and sit top of the Premier League and are still undefeated and one of their strongest features has been their midfield – with James Maddison, Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr all featuring heavily – but adding the former Juve man to the mix will improve Big Ange Postecoglou’s team by miles.

The Ex-Juventus midfielder signed for Spurs on a permanent and was the break spark in a poor season last term before he got injured, but his numbers on FBref are so good with high progressive passes and tackles, which is perfect for an Ange team.

And we have seen already this Premier League season how Postecoglou has improved players that Antonio Conte could not – sure as Pedro Porro, Son, Heung-Min (์†ํฅ๋ฏผ), Dejan Kulusevski, Yves Bissouma, Pape Matar Sarr and Cristian Romero.

And with AFCON around the corner and injuries that could persist – we do need the return of one of our world class players!

  1. Contรฉ system rested on lolo and our season fell when he got injured. People forgotten that our ended when he got injured and was the reason why contรฉ was forced out. I personally think that if lolo hadnโ€™t picked up the injury that forced contรฉ out of the club, we could of gotten at least top 5/4

  2. He will be like a new signing for Ange, I look forward to see what he does with him.
This was my first time watching your videos, already a fan. No bullshit just straightforward fantalk, loved it. Will watch religiously.

  3. Bentancur can do all 3 of the midfield roles. I see him replacing Sarr in our strongest 11 but he could also play as a 6 or even further forward. Its so exciting to have him back. His press resistance, eye for a pass and fighting spirit will be a huge positive going forward!

  4. only he convert him into CAM and not CM because i use Ange ball to play games and let him to join the 3 men behind the striker i tell you is awesome.

  5. Turn your control volume up pal … I'm having to max out on mine and still not loud enough…. Which means when the ads come on they're blasting out…

  6. i donโ€™t think itโ€™s a coincidence deki hasnโ€™t played as well without him! i think they play very well together and link up excellently

  7. Thereโ€™s no rush. Bentancur has to be fully fit. He will come off the bench anyway. The present midfield are doing fine.

  8. Thanks for the video! Definitely looking forward to having Bentancur back in the near future. With these long term injuries its of course difficult to know how it will go but let's stay positive and hope that he discovers his form. We will need to be patient with him at the start too.

  9. My cousin who is a Juventus fan hated Bentancour when he played for Juventus because he said he kept giving the ball away, which I find strange, maybe Allegri used Bentacour wrong.

  10. I think Sarr will continue playing as the number 8 because he's been playing well and will give Bentancur time to ease back in. When Sarr goes to AFCON Bentancur will most probably grab that starting spot if he's performing well. All this doesn't bode well for Skipp though.
