  1. Portugal dominates their group and Ronaldo scores goal after goal. Yet nothing from ESPN FC about either Portugal or Ronaldo? I’m neither Portuguese or a Ronaldo fan boy but it’s gotten to the point that constantly bashing Ronaldo whenever possible and completely ignoring his team and individual accomplishments are becoming blatantly obvious. Your panel needs to realize that. It’s super disrespectful.

  2. To all the Ronaldo fans who weren't sleeping anf waiting desperately for your idol to be talked about and wasn't
Just hold a press conference with your own family in your house and talk about him 😂

  4. England have a lot of exceptional players like Harry Kane Jude Bellingham Phil Foden Bukayo Saka Declan Rice James Maddison Marcus Rashford (when he’s in form) Jack Grealish Trent Alexander Arnold and others as they have quality and the depth to finally end their long international trophy drought and we know the English media they like overhyping their players and at every major tournament they say that it’s coming home and on paper they have so much talent but the reality is they’re not winning the Euros next summer. In these big tournaments especially the knockouts there are many factors in how a team performs like cohesion skill luck all of those metrics come into place more than how talented a team is on paper because even when they had a Golden Generation of players like Wayne Rooney Frank Lampard John Terry Rio Ferdinand Ashley Cole and Steven Gerrard those established players in their peak that group didn’t win an international trophy and you look at the Brazil national team at the last World Cup everyone saw them as favorites to win the whole thing as on paper particularly in attack they were stacked but didn’t play well throughout the tournament and Croatia beat them on penalties in the quarterfinals.

I think England are deep enough to get to the final 100% or the semifinals depending on what country they face but in recent international tournaments they have gotten close but close isn’t enough they’ve had a history of crumbling under pressure in decisive moments as it’s happened with England too often of late (Harry Kane skying a penalty in the quarterfinals of the World Cup against France last year, being up a goal against Italy in the Euros final losing on penalties where Rashford Saka and Sancho missed and World Cup semifinal in 2018 against Croatia up 1-0 yet lost 2-1 in extra time). Those margins are just so so small for England and cracking under pressure and not delivering when it matters most while it’s not their fault that the media puts too much pressure on them it’s gonna continue holding them back in these big tournaments their inability to show up when the tough gets going. Their team selection always divided opinion among many supporters because there’s a feeling that Gareth Southgate is picking players that shouldn’t be playing for the national team. Harry Maguire is a regular starter in their defense despite not even playing a lot for Manchester United, Kalvin Phillips since joining Manchester City has barely kicked a ball yet is good enough for England, and Jordan Henderson is playing his football in the Saudi Pro League he’s not playing at a high level anymore yet once again Southgate calls him up. They have what it takes to go deep in the Euros and possibly win it next year but they won’t due to Gareth Southgate’s favoritism and history repeating itself for England in every big international tournament.

  5. I think France will end up winning the Euros next year they’re the favorites to win the entire tournament next summer. They were narrowly close to winning the World Cup again last year as they showed mental resilience to come back from a 2 goal deficit against Argentina in the final to force the game into extra time and it would be a different story for them had Martinez not saved their penalties. France have always had a lot of talent on paper like Kylian Mbappe Antoine Griezmann Ousmane Dembele Randal Kolo Muani Aurelien Tchuoameni Eduardo Camavinga Theo Hernandez William Saliba Mike Maignan Jules Kounde Olivier Giroud and others what they have is Didier Deschamps who is one of the best managers in international football and in the world. At times they can get outplayed on the field as the opposition can be better than them, Didier Deschamps is able to work with the resources he has at his disposal and out tactic some of these managers in these big games which is why they’ve had a lot of success in recent international tournaments and they have a system which allows players to play within it and they’re able to function very well both individually and collectively and a lot of that is down to the management of Didier Deschamps. I wouldn’t be surprised if France go on to win the Euros next summer as they have a brilliant team with a very good coach.

  6. Nothing in sport will ever compare to Leicester winning the title, but they’re downplaying how big Greece winning the euros was, rarely do you get a big upset in the euros or World Cup an they did it against the home side, it was massive and the start of Jose shouldn’t be a factor

  7. Netherlands lost to France on Friday and today they won against Greece thanks to a late penalty scored by Virgil Van Dijk which means that they have a very good chance of qualifying for the Euros next year. It’s obvious that at times the team is a bit pedestrian without the presence of Frenkie De Jong in the midfield.

In my opinion Frenkie de Jong is one of the best midfielders in the world and for club and country he’s such an important player and it’s difficult to replace him because of what he offers to the team which is his composure playmaking passing defending technique on the ball the way he carries the ball dribbling etc he makes his team tick. Of late since he’s gone down to injury Barcelona have not been at their best they’ve had a lot of injuries but have really missed him for sure and the Netherlands are a different side without him and it just tells you how impactful Frenkie De Jong is for club and country that of late they have struggled in his absence. The Dutch will definitely need him back very soon to make sure that they automatically qualify for the Euros since he brings so much to the national team and for his club he’s also a key player as well.

  8. With all due respect to the other analysts, the truth is when Stevie or Craig are not present, extra time is not great. Just a personal feeling.

  9. ESPN FC-I noticed you removed a “Free Palestine”🇵🇸 post. Nice attempt trying to censor. Free Palestine🇵🇸 And I post that as someone with a Palestinian partner whose family had their family home seized by the Israeli government and family members murdered. Do better.

  10. Bench Greece and sell Porto altho Denmark win should’ve been on the list – champs league wasn’t quite as money dominated as now so easier to win while know1 thought Greece could win

  11. Absolutely mind-blowing how underrated Greece's Euro 2004 victory is. Let's be honest, they had an objectively worse collection of players compared to powerhouses like France, Italy, or even Portugal. Yet they managed to defy the odds and clinch the title.

First off, beating the hosts Portugal twice, including in the final, is no small feat. Let's not forget, this Portuguese side had legends like Luís Figo and a prime Cristiano Ronaldo. Greece's defensive masterclass was a sight to behold.

And let's talk about their journey to the title. They had to go through Portugal in the group stages, beat the defending champions France in the quarter-finals, and even managed to edge out a very strong Czech Republic team in the semi-finals. Throughout the tournament, they only conceded 4 goals. FOUR. That's astonishing given the calibre of teams they faced.

Lastly, the tactical brilliance of their coach Otto Rehhagel deserves immense credit. The Germans may be known for their tactical nous, but what Rehhagel achieved with that Greek side was nothing short of miraculous. He turned a team of underdogs into European champions by instilling an indomitable spirit and crafting a defensive setup that was almost impossible to break down.

All in all, it's high time people start recognising Greece's Euro 2004 victory for the incredible achievement it really is.

  12. RONALDO SCORES CONSECUTIVE BRACES IN TWO GAMES, BECOMES THE HIGHEST GOAL SCORER THIS YEAR SURPASSING HAALAND AND MBAPPE.

ESPN FC: LETS FORGET THAT HAPPENED. LETS FORGET RONALDO PLAYS FOOTBALL
