  1. I’ve always been a big Japan fan since I started watching them in the World Cup. The style of play that the Japanese national team uses is very aesthetically pleasing, and the JLeague does an incredible job at developing young talent. Everyone on this Japan national team started in the J league, and very few still play there. It speaks to the quality of players that come out of Japan both with their league system and their national team. I really think that they are a top 10 national team and they are a sleeper pic that I wouldn’t mind putting money on to win the World Cup in 2026.

  2. The Canadian soccer Association is in a bad bad way right now. They didn’t even have a training camp in the September window. This is their only friendly this window. The only reason why they had it is because Japan paid for it in full. Japan paid for the air travel, Japan paid for their Room and board, and Japan paid them for the game. Last I saw Canada is over $10 million in the red. Hate to say it but this is mostly the fault of their women’s national team. Canada was always operating in the red for over a decade, but it was a manageable deck. it was always just a couple hundred thousand dollars in debt and they were still able to pay the bills and get loans. In 2021 the women’s national team want an equal pay with the men’s even though they didn’t bring in any revenue at all, and they’ve made up almost all of the debt that the Canadian soccer Association had. Canada first tried to stop it by suing their own women’s national team, and when that failed they relented and they paid them equally. Since then, the entire soccer Association has been in shambles. It’s not even clear if they will be able to play in the next World Cup. They might not have a program by then.

  3. I just hate that foul against nakamura. Although he is just a sub for now, he has potential to compete with mitoma and kubo in near future

  4. It was a game in which Japan scored six points. There were only half of the regular members.
Canada was a team similar to Vietnam and Oman in Asia.
