We'd have more chance of winning without Southgate…..
Southgate got the national falling in love with the team after WC 2018 but after that it’s not been the same, especially after Euro 2021. He’s done what he can but he’s needs to go after the euros because they won’t get rid of him before.
Southgate has achieved more w/ less than every manager last couple tournaments, and more than any other England manager for over half a century
They are dramatically underperforming. Total waste of resources.
If we win, then who cares?
How exciting were Greece in Euro 2004?
How exciting were Portugal at Euro 2016?
Why is everyone forgetting we won 7-0 against North Macedonia like 3 months ago?

We play such a boring style of football. It’s almost unbearable to watch.
We’ve been saying the same thing about Southgate and his England side since he arrived. He wont change. The team selection wont really change. Our performances wont change. Our achievements in tournaments wont change.

It isn't the England team it's the Gareth Southgate team, a peak international team SHOULD BE a team of the best performing players of each position collected into one squad, not 'those who connect with Gareth', it should be merit-based, playing for your country was once every players dream as it signified you'd truly arrived, this is nowhere near the case any more
If England won the euros, it would be in spite of Southgate, not because of him
England were always boring though even before Southgate. Just accept that you’re not part of the top flight of national teams. Even Morocco is better than England.

I think Southgate has done a good job but i also feel that we have gone as far as we will with him as manager, we currently have some terrific youngsters and what we don't want is to see them not reach there England potential
It isn't about being boring its getting key tactical decisions wrong when anyone else could change and see how England play, England haven't beaten anyone who is at a higher level than england (germany where in poor form in the euros).

Forgetting Friday's game (and I'm an Australian) had England had a progressive manager, rather than Southgate. they would have won the WC. The current group of England players is the best attacking squad since 1966, and sadly they are going to go home empty-handed due to the negative football. For god sake England football hierarchy, let these guys show their talent (stop inhibiting them) and make a nation proud, otherwise, it will be another 60 years before England can produce another squad like this one. All England can currently cry is 'Coulda, Shoulda' Woulda'!!
