Another forgotten game was in 1990 when England visited Oz and won 1-0 but the Aussies outplayed them. Arnie played that day and gave their defenders alot of trouble.
The real winner of this match was Stephanie Frappart. Very well done.
Im not sure why Arnold doesn’t tinker with the combinations and treat a friendly for what its mean?? Southgate gets it! We all know what Duke can give us not learning anything there. Also i liked Bros when he came on, would have good to see how he combined with Goodwin! But Arnie took Goodwin off. Someone tell Arnie there is no trophy and the end of the game.
Interested to see Arnolds approach to the NZ game. Being the higher ranked side and expected to dominate and to win (by Aussies at least) he will surely have to change from what he has done in the last few games that were against better opponents. Sitting back, allowing the All Whites to dominate possession, absorb pressure and possibly hit on the counter will not cut it.
