Raul Jimenez suffered a skull fracture after a scary head clash this weekend during Wolves premier league game against arsenal after striking heads with David Luiz. Jimenez was taken to the hospital and is recovering after surgery, while Luiz continued on during the match before exiting at the half. In this video we’ll talk about head injuries, skull fractures, and my opinion on the state of concussion management in professional football.

  1. substitutes for concussions in football can save careers….. injuries like this can alter somebody's entire personality, thus frequency.

  2. Besides the possible head injury David Luis should have also been taken out and not able to return to the game because of the impact of getting hit in the head also he looked a little dizzy and also he cut was very bad and a lot of blood even though they stop it from bleeding he still had blood on himself and the medical tape was full of blood as well and kept falling off and for his own safety and others because of the blood he shouldn’t have been allowed back in the game for safety and sanitary reasons

  3. I would not play anymore if i was Jimenez . What happens if it happens again ? O yeah and Luiz wasn't aiming for the ball . He was behind Jimenez and could see him . Jimenez couldn't see Luiz . This was assault . Attempt to bodily harm . In the US this is a federal affence .

  4. The concision substitutes are a great idea. Football is a fluid sport, therefore the last thing anyone wants is for the player leave the pitch. The substitutes should be necessary for every injury, it should be a rule for health reasons and safety reasons. Although these accidents are rare, I will say in 20 years of watching the sport, I’ve seen a lot of bloody head injuries 🤕

  5. 0:39 "His momentum is carrying him inward. He started off on this full run practically so he's got a lot of additional momentum coming in to this injury as opposed to Jimenez being a little bit more stand still." WRONG. You're using a overly-simplistic understanding of momentum. Relativity says it's equally valid to regard Luiz as stationary & it's Jimenez who has all the momentum. Both versions are true, it depends on your frame of reference. Thus they both the same amount of force. Thus headbutts are stupid.

  6. Unfortunately after 2 years Raul has not recovered to form he was before this injury he was tied to some of Europe’s biggest clubs (Chelsea , Bayern) but when he return his form has completely dipped 😢

  7. Wish all football players would wear some type of soft leather helmet T least or with some foam. Many head clashes and ignored and brushes off along with headers or winning air duels involves contact with the ball or an accidental head clash. Any type of helmet can reduce injury
