Not related to this England discussion, but I donโt think you have to play young players and future prospects in international football per se. In club football it makes sense because you can develop a player to add value to a potential future sale.
In my opinion it may be better to choose for current form or even experience/proven records over building for the future. Some people talk about how itโs good to have a position sorted in the national team for the next 10 years, but how often do young prospects really remain the best in their position for a country for such a long time?
