The Premier League finds itself in a credibility crisis following yet another controversial incident involving VAR. The foul on Chelsea’s Thiago Silva should’ve seen Fulham get a red card. Liverpool’s recent 2-1 loss to Tottenham exposed a glaring error in the VAR system, leading to calls for improvement from all corners of the game. Liverpool have asked for audio discussions during the match.

The PGMOL has admitted to a “significant human error” after VAR wrongly disallowed Luis Díaz’s goal for offside. Liverpool have since demanded a “review with full transparency,” while manager Jurgen Klopp has decried the “most unfair circumstances.”

The incident has left many questioning the trustworthiness of VAR, with players and pundits alike calling for improvements. As the Premier League grapples with this credibility crisis, the spotlight is on VAR and its ability to ensure fairness and accuracy in the game.

  1. As a Liverpool fan and football fan, its not the only incident this fixture. From that game you can counted 5 diffrent errors that was against Liverpool.

On other matches, Villa 3rd goal shoul not counted because it was a clear faul on March.

Penalty against Burnley was also laughable.

Every fixture there is a plenty of add choices and mistakes.

  2. VAR is and always has been a scam. take the decision away from the actual reff and give full control to a few people in a room half the country away. this has always been about controlling outcome. welcome to just one small facet of football corruption
