  1. Maguire is the personification of white privilege. A word that turns white people mad but thats true. Where was this compassion for Pogba? Maguire is a walking meme and we should treat him with kiddy gloves?

  2. My thing is if he played decent I would understand but he genuinely plays terrible. More so for club for country yes he’s put in a good enough shift at times but you’re telling me he gets picked over all the other English defenders, that’s where it feel like Southgate unjustly puts him in the team.

  3. I don’t feel bad for Maguire because he genuinly believes he’s good. He blames everyone around him for his mistakes. He deserves all of this criticism.

  4. On the flip side,if we had sold Maguire and Mctominay for £60m it would have cost Utd more than double to bring in two home grown players. When i think Utd would have had to buy to fill the home grown quota rule for the squad, which is why we brought Evans back… so Utd were fucked from the start..

  5. Remember when southgate first started and we were all over the moon that we finally had a manager that chose players based on form and not legacy. How times change.

  6. Let's not forget not too long ago sterling was brutalized in the media even when he was playing well and the manager wasn't crying then

  7. England needs new manager man management by Southgate and Ten hag is shocking despite being so experienced look at top managers all of them are great at man management and if u want example of how young manager with less experience can do it then look at Xavi, he has revived players like de jong and dembele who were looking lost in Barcelona and u saw how mediocre looking Christensen is doing and what Aubameyang did with his spell at Barcelona biggest managers in history aren't only tactical geniuses like Guardiola, SAF, Ancelotti, Zidane all of them are wizards when it comes to managing the players Southgate isn't good tactically nor his man management has been good in last few years it's time for change

  8. Biggest issue I have with this Maguire coddling from Southgate is he is actively sacrificing the development and England careers of better players who could easily take his spot.

  9. "I've never know a player treated by our own pundits" does Southgate not remember the abuse he got, or the weekly David Beckham effigys and dart boards with his face on afer the Argentina sending off
