We went back to our 4 at the back system for this game with Jashari sitting in, allowing Haas to support Dorn down the right, Beloko to support Frydek down left. It actually worked really well because for large parts of this game we were the better side.
There weren't too many clear chances though for either side. Barry should've scored when he had time to smash it in but only tapped it to Loretz. Frydek was brilliantly picked out by Okou at the back post but his header was brilliantly saved.
They took the lead when Jovanovic rose highest above Simani to head home. Disappointing goal for us to concede. We equalised when Dorn played it to Ademi who tried to control it but inadvertently played in Jashari who smashed it in. Quick VAR check, clearly onside. We went down to 10 though when Ademi went off injured, luckily Basel couldn't take advantage, final score 1-1.
MUCH better display than last Sunday and a word on the ref who was really impressive. He allowed tackles to go in, didn't fall for any diving nonsense. Seriously good game from him and both sets of players behaved as well.
Zurich tomorrow, honestly seeing as we only played Thursday and they played Tuesday, I'd take a point.
