England in the first half with no Henderson or Maguire looked the real deal. Quick, sharp passing, cutting through play, they looked like a legitimate threat and Scotland couldn't live with them. Half time Maguire comes on, the whole team grounds to a halt, starts to look apprehensive and nervous, build up play takes centuries to materialise. Southgate's defense of Maguire once again highlights his deep flaws as a manager, it wont be until Maguire costs us in a big moment in the Euros that people are not only calling for Maguire's head but Southgate's aswell unfortunately it will come too late for us not to see the complete waste of a generation of talent.

Southgate and Maguire are stalling the international careers of better (mostly) younger players. Tomouri, Ghehi, Dunk, Colwill. All of these players can play against Scotland or Ukraine
That Southgate puts Harry Maguire above Ben White, Tomori & Colwill is enough to give him the sack.
