  1. Thought we looked sluggish in first half and couldn't get our pressing game going. But man city did to us what we do to other teams. Better 2nd half but final ball was poor. Almiron had one of his worst games but I think some of that was man city defence was so tight

  2. foden never world class england player only look good because they play with technical foreign player at world cup and euro just flop

  3. We were relegation fodder nearly two years ago but we have come along way in a short space of time, remember that people and don't be disheartened, we will get better and learn.

  4. I agree with pretty much everything you said. We gave them a game and didn’t do too much wrong but we were schooled by the best team in Europe. Bruno has been off his best for a little while. City didn’t let us create too much so we can’t complain about the few chances we had. At least the hardest game of the season is out the way and we can push on trying to cement that top 4 again.

  5. Good analysis Alice. I fully agree with your assessment as a NUFC fan, we couldn't play our game in midfield and going forward. Need an upgrade to Almiron.

  6. Newcastle fan and this is my favourite channel for Newcastle bants.

Just join us Alice. We’ll accept your past sins of MU fandom.

  7. Spot on. We were a bit to rushed with our few opportunities. Had we played a more attacking game I think we would have conceded more goals. Bested by the best team in Europe – nothing to be ashamed of.

  8. Rodri is the MVP!

Fair and accurate analysis of this game. Newcastle have a lot to take away from this game.

Foden ran the midfield going up levels!

  9. I'm not sure that Newcastle were in the game , as you say. They had only one shot on target in the 90 minutes. I think that says otherwise, particularly since City travelled back to the UK on thursday after a gruelling match on wednesday on 30+ degree heat and Guardiola made only 2 enforced changes.

  10. Revenge will be sweet at st James Man City just have too much of good team cause of arab money we will also have a good team soon ⚫️⚪️

  11. Rodri is immense. He played the most minutes for a treble winning side for a reason. Anyone laughing at you for your take doesn't know ball.

  12. you are requiring an eye test, newcastle never had a sniff city dominated them all day, you are deluded if you think other wise.

  13. City worst champions ever wot a boring team they where fucking boring midfield back to defence back to keeper up to midfield back to defence keeper would rather watch Chelsea Man U 😊

  14. Yes, the Etihad is the toughest venue to play but that still doesn't justify the fact that Newcastle couldn't keep a ball past the centre. I wouldn't mind losing if we played well but I do mind seeing how disorganised we were – Newcastle can certainly play better than that! I agree on most of your points though. And yes, Phil Foden was phenomenal

  15. We were outclassed but I'm still very proud of our team, even on an off day for us .
Another great, comprehensive and reasoned podcast , you are very , very good at this (again, better than any punter I've heard , far more structured x)

  16. I thought we were frightened of City, had we shown a little more attacking threat, Newcastle fans like myself would take that, we just want a side that tries, we have that now but we also want a team that attacks

  17. Agree with you on everything.

I would like to see Longstaff behind Tonali and Bruno, that would give us more stability. As much as I like Joelinton and his physical presence, Longstaff is calmer on the ball and anticipates dangerous situations quicker. Furthermore Miggy needs a break, Murphy or Gordon should play on the right.
