Lately, I've seen some talk of a striker's role, and so thought I'd add my two cents. Anyone who thinks a top-class striker's role is a simple one is deluded and most likely knows very little about the sport, in general. If you hone in on Son's work rate, the man is sprinting non-stop throughout the entire match. He doesn't slow down or relax simply because the focus isn't on him. He's got to be at the most convenient spot at the perfect time for the assist to connect, then has the high-pressure responsibility of scoring in some of the tightest situations, while making it appear easy and aesthetically pleasing. Not to mention, if you attend the match, you'll see him verbally directing and hyping up every single player in the team. He's shouting his lungs out at every match.
Just because he makes it look easy… or just because he shrugs off the credit… don't be fooled. Master of his craft.
