    Jordan Henderson: The Untold Story Of A Champions League Winner



    Jordan Brian Henderson MBE (born 17 June 1990) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Premier League club Liverpool and the England national team. Regarded by some as one of the best midfielders in the world, Henderson is noted for his leadership and technical ability.

    Henderson joined the Sunderland Academy at the age of eight, making his first-team debut a decade later in November 2008. He spent six months on loan at Coventry City in 2009, before returning to Sunderland. In 2011, Henderson signed for Liverpool, winning his first trophy with the club, the League Cup, one year later.

    Appointed Liverpool captain in 2015, Henderson won the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup in 2019, and in 2020 led his team to the Premier League title, the club’s first league title in 30 years.

    For his performances in the title-winning season, Henderson was named FWA Footballer of the Year. In 2022, Henderson lifted the FA Cup and the EFL Cup, where Liverpool defeated Chelsea on penalties.

    An England international, Henderson has over 70 appearances for his country since his debut in 2010. He has appeared at six international tournaments with England, the 2012, 2016 and 2020 UEFA European Championships and the 2014, 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cups. He was the first player to win the England Player of the Year award at both the U-21 and senior level.

      Absolutely fantastic leader and seems like a great person and clearly a motivational character, with a lot of gained wisdom.
      It is no wonder that Liverpool have been so good under his Captaincy.
      Speaking as a UTD fan, the difference between our 'Captain' Maguire (absolute joke who couldn't motive a greased gate into swinging open in a tornado) and Henderson is ridiculously obvious.
      This is what a captain should be.

      The type of player that always works on perfection and gives their all is my type of player. I watch and follow the Premiere League religiously and I support Arsenal and Liverpool from my side of the world. Steven Gerrard is one of my all time favorite midfielders and Liverpool player as well as Luis Suarez, Dirk Kuyt,Firmino, and Mane.

      ill be honest,I was doubtful of his ability tbh at the beginning,found it almost humerous Liverpool had put their faith in him.. but from a Newcastle fans perspective,he was fantastic for them..and has far more ability than I innitially gave him credit for. Fair play to him & seems like a nice bloke.

      great interview! i once held a presentation about my grandfathers and their experiences in the war and in the middle of it, i just broke down in tears. professor still gave me a B, but also explained why you should never pick a topic that is too close to your heart.
