I wonder where all the complaints were when Gusto got a red for much less…
Of course everything looks more intentional if you play it back in slow motion. Football is a contact sport and this red card is going to send a message to players that it's not worth it getting into a 50-50 challenge since it might get you sent off

A tackle doesn't have to be malicious to deserve a red. Look what Marcello did, dislocated a guys leg and ended his career and he defo didnt mean to hurt the kid, he was crying after what he did.

I'm a Pompey fan so no dog in the fight, that was atrocious officiating by VAR and the "ref" liverpool very hard done by today.
I remember Cassimero getting a red for a similar challenge. I think its unfortunate but it is dangerous. I understand that decision but the onside goal, no excuses that cost Liverpool points, apoligies or investigations wont give them points back

VAR needs to stop it’s ruining the game. It’s not getting decisions correct so just leave to the ref on field ad his assistants. If he wants to have another look he can go to the monitor himself to make his mind up.
