Germany will never admit this but they made the arm band issue the scapegoat, when the real reason was that they simply underestimated Japan, full stop. If their first opponent had been Argentina or Brazil in the WC, I strongly believe Flick would've told the media to back off and let them concentrate on the match because their opponent was "strong/tough to beat".
I did watch the documentary and it was pretty much, "damned if they do, damned if they don't". The German media didn't seem like it was ever going to be happy whatever the outcome, so why did Flick and his team let the issue permeate throughout the team, let it take over everything, it's simply because, whether consciously or subconsciously, they never expected to lose to Japan however tough the situation outside football was for them. So, when Japan beat them, they quickly needed to find an excuse and conveniently for them, they could blame the armband and the media. East Asians are never taken seriously in Europe. Just look at the pundits, not one has mentioned Japan and how good they were. Not a word. Enough said.

Klopp isn't going anywhere during this Liverpool rebuild. Maybe he'll take over for the 2026 world cup, but I can't see him leaving Liverpool before then.

The team is just not good enough. The defence is terrible, is bad european average. No manager can help them. But they won 4 times the world cup . 3 times european and have been often in the finals. Others are better now, like England or France. the German manager Otto Rehagel once won with Greece the Euro at 2004. They need such a miracle now

Flick was sacked not because of e 1-4 defeat against Japan in e friendly match…As e German didn’t play well under his care!! Exited in e WC group stage…and now e defeat in this Friendly matchh just condemned him to get sacked!!!
Germany have Moukoko, Lazar Samardzik, Karim Adeyemi, Kevin Schade but Flick never gave them a chance, Flick depends on old player like Muller, Guindogan, Hoffman [he's standart player) … Julian Brand, Sule, Schlotemberg, i think not good in national team … would be better Malik Thiauw, Armel Bella Kotchap and other young player.

There's only one coach for Germany and that's Klopp. So, they will have to wait at least another 4 years of mediocre management.
They have failed to replace klose . Germany usually had good strikers leading the line . This is the first time I can remember that they aren’t any decent strikers available.

Germany will not be good if they can’t find a top class center back. If they can find a #2, #6, #9 then they will be top competing for WC again. They have good players at other positions.
