Many Tottenham fans feared the worst at the start of this season, but Ange Postecoglu’s side have defied all the naysayers with a brilliant start to the season. But while the manager and new signing James Maddison have stolen the majority of the headlines, it’s actually been Son Heung-min, appointed captain in the wake of Harry Kane, who deserves the most credit.

  1. I remember after the Yanited match everyone was white hot for Madders and I was thinking: yes indeed but what about Son? Spurs could have had 6 goals if they took their chances and I joked during the game that Son just needs to pass to himself.

  2. nobody talks about son because of the color of his skin…racism is still around the world…& will continue on until the extinction of human kind…the english are just more subtle when it comes to racists gestures…while americans seem to be a bit more obvious…but son is one of the most under-rated world-class footballers in the modern game

  3. Well respected, a huge star which most people in the sport recognise… Except four four two, a football enterprise…… Lol idiots…

  4. I think an awful lot of people, myself included, underrated Son a bit because he was seen as Harry Kane's partner and they had this great linkage, but it partly concealed his own personal qualities. Now that he is leading the line and the team, it's a bit of an eye-opener, and he is already linking very effectively with James Maddison.

  5. It's a very detailed and meticulous analysis video. Your analysis thoroughly identifies and informs us of parts we haven't seen or thought about. I didn't understand why Jorginho was ridiculously robbed of the second goal, Madison was also running to him, but he also put pressure on him and let the ball flow as induced. I learn a lot from your video. A video that's really interesting and has a lot to learn. Sonny is amazing. Thank you for the good video๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

  6. Son's true strength is not in his football skills, which are considerable, but in his skills of being a truly special human being. The man is a gentleman who shares his successes and shoulders his responsibilities. A leader of quiet confidence who helps, and allows, others to shine. I love the way he carries himself both on and off the pitch.

  7. I always believed that son was a CF at heart. What has really impressed me is what a leader he is. He leads with a true love for the game and his friends (which is everyone). Its amazing to see what he's capable of, now he's the figurehead of our team.

  8. Style of play is massively influencing Spurs this season. Last 3 years we've had a very negative style but have been pretty much carries by the class of Kane and Son. Ange coming in alongside Maddison has revitalised this team and the players are so much happier playing football than they were under Jose and Conte. It goes to show how playing unattractive football that invites pressure can be detrimental to a team. Some players just want to attack and play with some level of freedom and Ange is giving them that whilst also making sure there is an element of structure behind it. The defence is more solid than under defensive managers. The midfield is battling for the ball and all the players are happy to recieve it. If you watched us under Jose and Conte, we seemed scared of the ball. There was very little press and the midfield was none existant which was why Kane had to transition into the deep lying forward role he has now adopted. It would of been very interesting to see how Kane would of fit into Spurs now. But I'm very pleased with the direction we are going. Son leading the line with Kulu, Madders and Solomon/Johnson is very positive to me.

  9. I saw Sonny live in the Asian Cup 2015 final.
To say he was the best player on the pitch by a mile would be understating it.
Not only that he's an absolute gem of a person on and off the pitch and their aren't many footballers, forwards especially! That you can say that about

  10. Frame… I don't like videos with racist content like this. In some media, whenever an Asian player is in the spotlight, Harry Kane is in the spotlight. James Madison is framed as being in the spotlight. In recent overseas news, Son Heung-min made headlines with two goals for Arsenal.

  11. As a die hard spurs supporter, I'm so glad he is getting the praise he deserves. Everyone loves him and he is such a humble guy. He played all of last season with a hernia and didn't complain about it, just put his head down and kept working. It has been incredible to see him blossom from the Prem's greatest sidekick to an incredible leader and absolutely lethal number nine. The guy ages like fine wine, I wouldn't be surprised to see him shine at the highest level for another 5 years at least.

  12. Wonder why he is not playing for teams that can win trophies. He should be playing for teams like Man city, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Barcelona, etc.
