Chris Sutton disagrees with Jamie Carragher about Aaron Ramsdale clap for David Raya | IAKO
Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale showed a heap of support for his team-mate David Raya during the tense North London Derby. One instance of that came after a brilliant stop from Raya denied Tottenham’s Brennan Johnson from levelling the score in the first-half. The cameras then cut to show Ramsdale’s reaction from the bench, with the former Sheffield United star seen clapping with his hands aloft and smiling. However, Sky Sports pundit poked fun at Ramsdale’s reaction to a David Raya save against Spurs, saying it’s something you’d see at the Oscars. That in turn provoked a furious response from Aaron Ramsdale’s dad, who called Carragher a ‘disgrace’.
On MailSport’s It’s All Kicking Off podcast, Chris thinks that Ramsdale applauding his teammate is a good thing for Arsenal and a good thing for fans to see because it shows unity and support.
