      Only United could look at an 18 year old kid and say "He is going to change our midfield". Be real. He won't. He had a decent pre-season but so did Iqbal and Savage. It means nothing.

      I think your assessment on Casemiro is harsh.

      Eriksen has been worse than Casemiro this season, imo. We've conceded the same goal so many times because midfielders (usually Eriksen) don't track their runners. Eriksen isnt suited to be a number 8, unfortunately, he hasnt got the legs, the physicality or the defensive nouse.

      With Casemiro, he's had a slow start but in the past couple of games he's looked like hes regaining his form again. He doesn't have a proper defensive minded midfielder next to him (like, say, Amrabat) which means he's isolated defensively and more easily overrun.

      I absolutely agree 100%. Mainoo sand Amrabat in a double pivot is the best for United. Anyone not seeing the major dropoff of Casimero is just not facing reality.

      How can you not play 2 No 10s and just Casemiro ? He literally is the only one defending. Which other top team does that? He is being very exposed. What we need is a box to box No8 which hopefully Amrabat. Too harsh on Case.

      The first Palace Cup game, I’d go with Amrabat, Eriksen & Mejbri in Midfield. With Garnacho, Hoijlund & Pellistri as forwards. Subbing in Mount, Martial, Gore & Donny.
      Rest Casemiro, Bruno & Rashford for the League game.

      Mainoo has only 1 app in EPL for United so far. I think it is far too premature to make claims that he will be good enough to replace Casemiro immediately.

      Hope you are right about Amrabat but still short of DCMs if Mainoo still learning. I actually wonder if selling Fred. for so little, was not the best short term option as we are just left with McT and Van Der B. Casemiro and Fred did run Brazil's midfield for some time and may have worked for certain games!

      casemiro and eriksen cant play together anymore, if casemiro plays, would rather mejbri mainoo amrabat, or even gore to partner him. look at madrid, modric still plays, but he is surrounded by young tenacious players, tchouameni camavinga valverde bellingham. very seldom modric plays with kroos together anymore. only one old player at a time

      With all due respect i think this is all bs. Who will jump for the ball, Amrabat is one of the worst DM in areal duels. Second Casemiro is all around better player then this two. Mainoo is good but nowhere near world class since he's too young so we don't know how it will all workout with this two as CMs. Casemiro just needs a real CM, one who can run like a horse and have some skill in def and in offense, like for example Valverde, Kroos or De Jong type of player. Ten Hag tried to do that but failed, now we just have "patch" on that position, nothing changed.

      United should play mejbri and mainoo more this season since the likes of eriksen and case are in their 30s.
      If we didn't sell iqbal l, we could've had a backup youthful midfield trio of iqbal, mejbri and mainoo.

      I have a question. Why was Van De beek not even in the subs in the last few games and yet we had so many injuries and thus he could atleast be in the bench? Was he injured or something or is he just that bad?

      counting on a 27-yrs old loanee and an 18-yrs old youngster means that you have no plan for the future, and thats why commercial united had so many panic and bad transfers.

      Mainoo is 1 year younger than me, and I want him to succeed. United has produced some players who could've been the very best, but i see a much more cultured and smarter player in Mainoo. Just hope he doesn't get any major injuries, and gets major playtime

      I feel like people are already putting far too much pressure on Mainoo. He’s a great talent don’t get me wrong, but he’s a kid that’s played one game for the first team. Some people are acting like he’s going to come in and save our season

      Mainoo looked a mouth-watering prospect but it was pre-season, hopefully, he can consistently replicate that quality of performances with 3 points on the line.

      Ppl make me laugh in this comment section. Mainoo is clearly showing ball play beyond his years also he is physically developed enough to mix it with the big boys as we saw in glimpses last season also the past preseason, across Europe in big teams there is no hesitation to give youth showing extreme potential the platform but we should be reluctant to use our youngsters?? Fuck that, Mainoo was groomed last season and its to give him the platform and from what I've seen so far he starts the Sheffield, Burnley, Luton, place, westham, aston villa type games and 30/20mins against the big boys or even starts.

      A whole video wasted on wishful thinking. Ten Hagg isn't pinning any serious responsibility on Mainoo this season. He doesn't trust kids he hasn't signed. This kid will make 20 appearances at best this season and most of that will be off the bench. Stop getting gassed from a kid who played in pre season and never played in the prem under the spotlight, pressure and meaningful games. Let him make his debut first

      It seems to be in the DNA of rags to elevate their players into being better than they actually are ….. players who rival fans hardly rate at all, if at all!

      All I've ever seen this Amrabat do so far is foul people …. he did it again the second he came on at Burnley the other night!

      People are overhyping Mainoo so hard after a couple of good games in pre season. Undeniable talent, but expectations will kill him. Just let the kid develop without any tags and if he makes the grade then great
