Just how good was Declan Rice?
That goal came of a deflection. Rice is a decent player but never try to justify overpaying for rice. Jorginho or partey is far better than him
I think with Rice looking good for Cdm we could play a three with him Odegaard and Vieira would be boss

What does fabio viera need to do to bench havertz he is doing exactly what we expect havertz to do.
Rice was great but we have to look at the first 90 mins. We fail to break teams down in low blocks…same last few games esp fulham. We got lucky with that goal at the end in extra time and we can't rely on waiting so long before we take some clinical shots or subs to come on. We needed creativity up front and trossad has been known for this (see last city game) or even jesus. Needed them to come on way earlier. Havertz lets be honest missed a golden opp and not sure his contributions suppport being in a starting 11. We need fab/jesus etc all that have been helping us get the goals later in the game to be starting since they are showing evidence of getting the job done.
I need Havertz to cook then we will be unstoppable he is making the right runs on and off ball but the end product is still lacking…he really needs his confidence back😢 I wish him all the best though

So pleased for Fabio, its always been so obvious how technically gifted he is, last season he struggled with confidence for sure, people bang on about his physicality but Santi wasn’t a physical player, but was a technical beast. I know Fabio has some way to go before he’s at prime Santi levels but I really think hes got it in him, he just needs the fans behind him and he’ll absolutely flourish. I hope he gets more game time this season

He breaked up the Man United lines really well. His passing was great. Fantastic energy and covers lots of ground. Capped with a goal in stoppage time, it doesn’t get better then that
