Inexplicably from a Chelsea perspective, Chelsea have lost out to Liverpool to sign Moises Caicedo. Brighton held a midnight auction to sell Caicedo to the highest bidder. Chelsea finally offered the £100m for Caicedo that Brighton were asking for all summer, only for Liverpool to offer £110m. Liverpool’s bid of £110m for Caicedo was accepted and Chelsea are left looking for other new defensive midfield transfer targets! Moises Caicedo signs for Liverpool just before Chelsea vs Liverpool in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge this Sunday!

  1. Yes Guys, £110m for Moises Caicedo is ‘too much’, but by this point, even £100m was too much in the first place but we finally go for that when it is too late… as a result Liverpool sign the best available DM, move further away from Chelsea squad quality wise, and Chelsea’s inaction has come to the fold here which concerns me massively moving forward. The DM position has become IMO, the most important position in the Premier League when it comes to quality. Adam’s is good, Lavia too, but Caicedo is currently a level above both of these and Pochettino wanted him. Understand people may think I’m being over exaggerating too reactionary, but trust me, I believe this could bite Chelsea hard. We’ve spent a lot, bought a lot, but still look weak when it comes to first XI quality… that’s a big issue!

  2. no one is desperate for caicedo. plus m not about to start new season with 2x100m each midfielders and be roasted all season. since we lost rice. i have always know moises is a smoke screen. the board has done a wonderful transfer and talent IDs with new players brought in. give them there flowers, we are chelsea and we arent ranting. LETS FUCKN GO..

  3. American management = mid to bottom premier table
The yanks don't understand European football .
    NOT F**KING SOCCER.
9more years of misery to come.

  4. We did the right thing!!!!! He wasn't worth 100 even 90mil. We can find someone cheaper with better potential or more experience. Idk why so many people are so upset. We spent close to a bil. Already… guys , we can't just throw money everywhere

  5. He wasnt worth £70m, a hard working tough tackling CDM like Adams opens Enzo up, which is what we needed. We stuffed around too long and now what can we do in the market before start of season.

  6. Moises had made the wrong choice. He would have had the chances of having more playing time in Chelsea than with Liverpool. He must wait for Tiago Alcantara to be injured before having a back to back playing time.

Liverpool on their side had signed Calceido's best partner in Brighton M'calister. May be they need the combination of the duo in Anfield as well.

Consider Sunday's opening match with Liverpool a lost encounter. Liverpool wins the match on arrival.

  7. I'm delighted we seem to have signed Caicedo, though the price is eye-watering. Can see why you're pissed, but you've signed some decent players and you may yet get Lavia. Have to admit I'm jumpy about playing you guys first up. Hopefully it's a great game on Sunday.

  8. So it transpires Chelsea might get MC after all.

A word of warning Chelsea fans.

Chelsea and Liverpool are in completely different positions.

Liverpool have done all of their work. MacAlister and Szloboslai in at good values.
A lot of experience players in the team Van Dyke, Salah, Alison, plus they cleared out some older players at good value.
In addition they have a raft of new young players coming through.

Though MC is a crazy fee it is okay as it’s the last piece of the LFC puzzle for a title challenging team.

Chelsea are in a completely different position.
You need at least five or six players for first team and cover to get anywhere near a title challenging team.

Poch needs numbers, not a single big signing.
MC’s deal sweeteners, weekly wage and record fee will impact your incomings.
I can see this big signing holding you back.
