People hate Harry Maguire because he's arrogant, delusional and tone deaf, he refused to leave Manchester United cos he wanted more money for them to pay him off, he assumes that he's gonna get more games at United, there's not a lot to like about him just based on that, he can't be that arrogant and then expect people to pat him on the back when he makes a mistake
Another point that's often ignored is Southgate keeps mentioning how he wants characters with good values and personalities to bring to the team whilst he continually picks a player who was actually found guilty of assaulting a police officer and is awaiting retrial. Hopefully, Maguire is proven innocent upon the second trial but you can't just sweep that under the rug for one player and not for others
