He clearly doesn’t care about United or he would have left
Maguire is getting paid £190,000 a week for the next two years. Even if he plays nobody is expecting him to do well. He is smart.
The problem with Maguire is because of his price tag he feels like he's entitled to play for ManU which to him is unfortunate because he is not or never was he that good.
Maguire is in a club where his capabilities are not sufficent. This has nothing to do with what's being told to him by his closest. It's the fact he doesn't want to.take a drop in wages.
As long as people keep talking about Maguire he will think he has a case but people need to stop giving him any reason to justify his stance.
He should start training himself to play in a deferent position. Defence always is the most stressful position to play. Always get the blame when you can't deal with criticism everything starts going south.

As a parent, i do feel for Maguire’s mum.
As a fellow parent, there’s nothing wrong too with sitting on £190,000 a week and refusing to leave. Why would I go to West Ham for half the salary and twice the amount of work? Who’s going to pay for the expensive formula and children’s classes?

hey i totally agree with you, BUT wouldnt he lose a lot of his salary going to for example west ham? so i dont think it matters if people close to him tell him to go to another club, because he would lose so much money. But if he refuse to go, no will a club still even want him?

I’ve been saying for some time the issue with Maguire isn’t primarily that he isn’t good enough, it’s that he is delusional. But it’s probably the way you describe it: He’s surrounded by people telling him what he wants to hear. Of course, that might still be a situation of his own making.
On a related note, it says something about either English defenders, or Gareth Southgate, (or both), that Maguire is in the national team. Even if he is a better fit for the national team, he’s still a player firmly rooted on the bench in his club. And he isn’t a very good footballer, full stop.
Regardless of long term future. I hope fellow united fans can have some class and show some support for him as a human being at the next game.
Maguire is a liability at the back, so many time our goalie has had to save accidental shots from him and not to mention all the own goals and massive mistakes at the back cost us so many important games last season, England will die by that decision in the euros if he is played, he is not good enough….

It’s sports… it’s elite sport. It’s the most popular sport on the planet and this is the top echelon. It’s about achieving excellence. They’re earning a salary that will set them up for life. It’s meritocracy not a bloody charity or popularity contest. If you can’t handle critique I ponder how you even reached pro level in the first place… but you’re certainly an imposter on the pinnacle of the football mountain.

Maguire has some very poor advisers around him. No one should get abuse but a lot of the criticism is fair. He’s made so many high profile mistakes in recent years of course he’s going to get criticism. He has everything to prove every week. He should have moved to West Ham, a good Premier League side but he chose a money. He gets little sympathy from me.
At the end of the day all that Gareth Southgate is doing by picking Harry Maguire is demotivating other top class defenders that are playing regular first team football.
I heard someone say not going to west ham was a bit to do with wages – earning 2 million if he stays and a lot less if he moves
