So today, Statman Dave takes a look at how he would fit in to Erik Ten Hag’s team, what it could mean for the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Christian Eriksen, before diving into whether the move actually makes sense…

  1. Is another Maguire and Sancho mistake, we tend to fall on the trap of English media over hyping crap English players while City is busy strengthening with cheap but super talented international players. This guy adds nothing to United

  2. Bruno is united main man! No way mount will be a 10. I think ETH wants him in eriksen place. Or maybe sometimes as a right. Unless Bruno is injured.

  3. Another thing that we all forget is Ten Hag keeps putting Bruno on the right or drift right, which i think he knows he doesnt want that and Mount will solve the issue

  4. Signing Mount and retaining Sabitzer will be a big coup for ETH..Sell Donny, Mctominay and Fred. There are those opportunities you don't lose.

  5. most complaints from chelsea fans about Mason Mount is his decision making in the final third. we need a controlling CM like Eriksen but with a higher fitness level, if we're going to drop Bruno into that position then we need a CAM, someone capable of that final pass into the striker or a runner, or be capable of taking initiative themselves.

we need James Maddison, with Leicester relegated he'd be a lot cheaper, I have no idea why we aren't all over that deal

  6. I feel playing two 8s is wat ten hag want to do next season. . may work ..may not . But i still feel we need a natural b2b though we are still going for rabiot

  7. Mount may be nice but not a necessity at all. Strikers, Center back and holding midfielder should be the priority. Don’t buy the hype. He’s no way close to what we already have in Bruno, Erickson or even Sabitzer (if he stays). Sancho is getting better in multiple roles as well.

  8. Erratic player who really undeperformed for many months with 1 year left on his contract and we are giving them 55-60m I honestly can't with Ten Hag at times he is too persistent on things that visibly do not work .This is another Antony signing little impact loss of possession ineffective and because he will be Ten Hag's player there is not way he will ever get dropped .We are not winning anything noteworthy or being competitive with this mentality.

  9. I agree with you but underlap needs a triangle of technical gifted right winger and right back . Antony is fantastic but that plumber Bissaka is pain in the a$$ .We need a modern RB that knows how to go offensively and do the triangle underlap with Antony and Mount !

  10. Thing is for me, do you want Bruno at 10 or 8? Or could you play Mount in a system with two 8's? Bruno is good everywhere but I think, when creating a perfect team,m you'd want his ability at 10 or at least as the most offensive defenser, so I think it would be better with a different player, someone more similar to Pogba
