But how is he doing it? What is he bringing to Real Madrid? Sam Tighe explains.

  1. Unpopular opinion: Bellingham Madrid will be worse than Benzema Madrid, titles and all. The player is class, and when Mbappe joins, totally different ball game.

  2. This formation is more dangerous than people think. You literally have a centre forward in Jude Bellingham who plays as a false 9 and drops back to help his teammates defend, leaving the wingers up top for counterattacks. Jude is the PERFECT player for this role.

  3. Lovely work. Now it brings into question where does Mbappe fit if he comes in next yr. He already said that he doesn't like to play through the middle but to bench or sell ViniJr is madness. Hmm….

  4. DON Carlo is using JUDE like he did KAKA at Milan the tip of the diamond that has everything to destroy teams, hes has pace, power, smart enough to understand the game, can sore from anywhere if required and gives them someone to go long too if needed.

  5. Interesting how he's gone from an average shot distance of 19yds to just 12. He was already quite the complete package but obviously he had a deeper role before and resorted to long range pot shots more often without being a particularly remarkable goal threat, but he now has five goals from just 10 shots and only seven on target. His final third creation rate seems to be skyrocketing already. We already know how he can pass up the field, carry, tackle and play with energy, power and flair. I'm struggling to comprehend what he could go on to achieve to be honest…

  6. He is exceptional and I cannot stop being concerned about his long-term health due to the sheer number of games he's already playing at 20. Like, I really, really hope he stays healthy, he's a blast to watch, but dude's been playing 40+ games a year since he was 17. It's a lot.

  7. So Bellingham is playing the Lampard role where he plays as a sort of CF/second striker but acts as the linking point for the midfield and the main attacking outlet in midfield.

  8. I think there doing this because they're biding there time until Mbappe shows up next year, they have a new manager and the new corporate friendly Bernabeu starts printing money so they can buy a No 9 as well, then we'll see how Real Madrid really look.

  9. Actually it's Real Madrid who changed the way Bellingham plays.
Ancelotti is a máster of exploiting the strengths of each player in a structured manner that benefits the team as a unit.
It's not casual like people make it sound.
I personally don't like how some downplay his level as a coach, making it sound like he just sends his players out and it just works out.
Only coach to win all the top 5 leagues, aswell as having the won the most Champions leagues 4, he deserves more respect.
Bellingham is a beast of a player, but it was Real Madrid and Ancellotti that saw his potential in that new position, which has propelled him to another level when it comes to influence in the game that has everyone gushing at the moment.

  10. The thing about Vini being dragged out his former more wide position is that for last 2 years Madrid only attacked by him and by that left side.

We need to be threatening from both left, right and centre position.

With this new diamond system, I think we acomplish that, specially having Garcia and Carvajal in good form.

And I really think Vini also wants to score more goals. If he adapts to this new role, he will score more goals.

  11. so youre telling me kai havertz needs to study bellingham becos thats whats hes trying to be? arteta needs to take a look at this video too. both tall midfielders who like to drift into striker position.

  12. Him and Haaland are probably the only 2 overhyped players in this generation that somehow lived to the unworldly expectations.

Mbappe is amazing but he keeps making bad choices for his life so hope people will move on to Bellingham.
