  1. I'm annoyed for starters. All this about "I didn't feel wanted" is just throwing shade on Klopp at the start of the season. Nevermind selling out the LGBT community, and a I don't consider myself woke at all but you soon dropped that didn't you Jordan. I don't believe in chasing money in life, I genuinely do think principles are more important than measley pathetic money.#
Sorry Hendo I was gutted to see go but it turns out, fuck it, I'm glad you did!

  2. He would have spoken out about the rainbow crap after being told to as he was captain, he doesn’t give a shit about it the club was just pandering to the woke lgbt crap like everyone else.
Tbh after listening to this interview I am glad he didn’t get a proper send off, he is having a dig at Klopp for no reason and bullshitting us all he did not go for the money, screw you hendo you have done your legacy no good at all with this and many fans will rightly turn on you.

  3. I don't particularly care for the LGBTQ political issues, I'd prefer politics were left out of football completely. However Henderson put himself at the forefront of that, he was basically one of the figure heads of it (commercials, armbands, rainbow laces etc). You simply cannot throw your political views in western audiences' faces at every oppurtunity, tell them they need to change and certain actions/views should not be tolerated by society, then proceed to violate those views for money and work for someone who see's your cause as illegal and immoral.

For me Henderson is a fraud and a hypocrite, much like many of our western celebrity class. They talk the talk but if it even remotely affects their money they will refuse to walk the walk.

  4. Really annoying that's he had to drag Klopp into this.

Where's the Hendo that stayed and fought for his place like he did back in 2012 when Rodgers told him he was gonna swap him to Fulham? Instead we have a guy who thinks the James Milner role of being a sub and closing out games is beneath him, and would rather be the star player of a team in a retirement league.
The irony of all it is that he was still gonna get playing time in the cups/Europa League since Klopp has to rotate. I'd even argue that playing a bit less might've improved his performances/ extended his career.

It's not like his England place was under threat either, Southgate is still picking him now.

But his ego couldn't handle that and thought it was beneath him so he left.

Getting a transfer just because you don't feel "wanted" and leaving the club in a period of transition is actually horrible leadership for someone who is so renowned for being a "good leader".

  5. Saying he went there for any other reason other than financial benefit is just not true, the reality he is in his retirement home and is past his best before date, him pretending this is the best move for his career and is going to him on the plane to the Euros is just absolutely embarrassing

  6. Henderson was acting like a spoiled brat cause he was told he couldn’t be the first name on the team sheet at 33.

And fine, go to get more game time but don’t try spin it that you weren’t “wanted” cause no one asked you to stay. When Klopp moved mountains to extend his contract 2 years ago and had him in his plans for this season, just not as a starting player.

Funny thing is, because liverpool don’t have a 6, he probably would have been playing weekly anyway.

And the comments about not seeing its bad in Saudi cause he hasn’t seen it….. well yeah, you think you’re going to see how they treat the LGBT community as a straight white rich man?? Naive and ignorant.

  7. Henderson CHOSE to come out and be an ally for a marginalised group. He took the plaudits, rightfuly. He should also take the stick when he sold them morals out for cash. He said he didn't want to live in a world where his kids or people he knew had to be worried about being accepted at a football match. He said that himselt. You sold that out just own it. As for not being loved? He signed a 4 year contract 2 years ago, He was the captain of Liverpool football club. He was one of the first names on the team sheet despite stinking the gaff out for the past 12 months. Instead of fighting as a captain should hes crying about not being wanted. Worst interview since Prince Andrew and fair play for teh journos for asking real questions.

  8. I am a Liverpool fan, he did so much for us. Never the best player on Earth but he won everything there was to win at club level, he is a legend. Saying that I've lost so much respect for him, if he came out and told the truth and said it was for money, I'd having nothing bad to say about that. He is 33 and I have no problem with him taking such a silly offer. No Liverpool fan ever said they didn't want him. Sure less game time but was still our leader. I have now lost a massive amount of respect because of his lies. If he decided to wear his rainbow laces or armband in Saudi he would be on the chopping block, literally. Thanks a lot for the memories Hendo but we're better without you

  9. The LG… community these people are bullies and I wouldn't be surprised if he felt compelled to represent them out of fear. I assure you most of these athletes are not with these people but because they want to make a living they have to do it

  10. I think Hendo left for one reason only and this is just my genuine opinion. It's amazing how the fanbase is acting as if what they did didn't happen. That "Hendo shouting at Allison" saga was the start of the Hendo hate. Hendo received alot of backlash and alot of hate for playing poorly when in actual fact the entire team played crap bar 1/2 players. Some fans wanted him stripped of his captaincy and some went even further by saying they wanted him out of the club. And let's be clear this isn't just 1/2 people saying it, there were ALOT of these comments. As soon as Gerrard wanted Hendo at Saudi fans immediately wanted him to leave saying its time to go. Some were thanking Gerrard as well for taking Hendo out of the club . Now that Hendo has left, ya'll are saying he only left bcs of the money? Really? Plus players will only admit they made a move for money if they really felt like their back was against the wall and pressured too much to admit. Ya'll really tryna make Hendo do that? If he made the move to try and qualify himself for the Euros team I say fair play. Bcs the manager is still Southgate……I don't have to explain further, plus I'm pretty sure Hendo knows better than pretty much the entire fanbase on how Southgate thinks having alr played for him for years. Its a long paragraph but all I see is the forced Hendo hate continuing.

  11. It’s dissapointing that Henderson has made Klopp look like the villian. At the end of the day Klopp / Liverpool have made their decision to benefit them as Hendo has made his. I don’t think he left for the money but it definitely played a role no matter how small or big.

  12. i think a lot people misunderstood what Henderson trying to say…yes,he go to saudi league for the money but what he try to say is if Liverpool still want him and he feel he still has lot to offer…he would have stay even the saudi offer the money…imagine now Liverpool want Salah to be backup…will you think Salah will still stay to play as backup and not earn this crazy amount of money?

  13. Jordan has the right to do whatever he wants to do. Just like all of you having the right to say whatever you want. He is just a football player. No one should be looking at him for moral or honesty guidance. I think it is not fair to ask him for that.

    him for that.

  14. Do people really expect Henderson to sit there and disrespect his new employers and the fans that fill the stadiums he now plays in? We all know he went for the money so why bash him for trying to stay on the good side of the people around him? You lot really expect him to just come out and say he only went for the money? People lack common sense.

You don't go to a job, then publicly state you only went there for the money when you know your boss and colleagues will be listening.

  15. You are wrong. Countries have the right to many rules. But a country that has rules and laws that lead to the persecution and killing of people based on their sexual orientation is not okay anywhere.

  16. I'm pretty glad liverpool has moved on without him. He went there for money and he owes no one any explanation on that. If not for money he should have stayed in burley or luton. They will pay him much less and he will certainly get alot of playing time

  17. It was embarrassing the way Henderson supported the Alphabet Lunatics but he's gone even further with his 'childish' outburst about not being wanted at LFC! He was only ever an average player that was propped up by all the great talent around him! He had Leadership skills though and that's what saw him through, not his talent!

  18. These same people think it’s okay to let kids transition but not for Henderson to do as he chooses .

If Henderson came out in an interview and said the money was too big to turn down the reaction would be more severe than it is now.

Jordan’s mistake was advocating for these people in the first place cause when you align your views which theirs, they often shift and now you have to advocate for more nuts things and if you say you don’t agree. You are Canceled and should be locked in a dark room with no job and are on par with a warlord or something.

  19. Why didn’t he just say “I’m
In the last few years of my career I fancied a change of pace and the financial package was too good to turn down when I took everything into account”
Best and most truthful answer he could give.

  20. What is this nonsense about footballers "putting food on the table for their fanily"? These top earners have done that 1 millions times over just through 1 year of their big contracts.

They have enough money to live very comfortably for their rest of their lives, and their families lives.

They're not going to Saudi to "secure their families futures". They've already done that. They're going out of greed for more and more money. Call a spade a spade ffs

  21. The one thing that really annoyed me was when he said something along the lines of “I’m sorry they feel that way” towards the lgbtq+ community. He’s not sorry for hurting them, or betraying them, he’s just sorry they feel that way. I hate when people say that. They’re not sorry at all

  22. Hendo is an embarrassment. None of what he said makes sense, and his refusal to just admit he went there for the Oil Dollars is so cringe. Oh, I’m a Liverpool fan by the way, but I notice bullshit when I see it.

  23. I wrote him off at one point as a player and a captain, ill always respect him turning that around and being the captain to lift the trophies he has lifted. But the way he's left now has rubbed me the wrong way, dont blame him for leaving for the money, his legs have clearly gone but just admit you left for the money. Dont drag the club or manager Even the LGBT stuff I'm still convinced the majority of these celebrities dont actually give a shit about these types of topics and do it for clout

  24. Are we as critical of world leaders who go to bed with human rights violators every day ?
Any community or person expecting him to represent them even if it means breaking their laws is selfish and ridiculous.
Going to work for money is shameful all of a sudden ? Bullocks as you would say across the pond.

  25. As a Liverpool fan, I completely agree. He thinks we are stupid, or this PR stunt comes across that way.

Of course he is there for the money. He traded off the end of his career for a final payday… That's his right, i dont begrudge him that. Hes lucky that maybe there arent a plethora of midfielders in his mould, and Southgate is very loyal so he might stay in the England squad, but its a gamble. Its a gamble hes obviously willing to take…

You are not taking that type of risk to grow a league that is against your political beliefs… Unless there is a huuuge upside… The money.

He has tarnished his legacy with this interview because it disingenuous. If he had been open and honesy, as hes been in the past, I'd respect him more, now i wouldnt even bother listening to him what he has to say because its just PR nonesense… Hes made himself irrelevant
