      Arsenal fans were cheering Maguire coming on as a Man Utd fan I promise that Maguire will make a big mistake for England and fans will be calling for Southgate’s head

      The intriguing thing is how little mention there is of the crowd booing their own national anthem. I suspect if england fans did something like that it would be a "national disgrace"

      There is some truth for example people suggesting Maguire was marking his own player for the Ukraine goal conveniently decided not to see that he was tracking the runner in the box

      I can't get why any coach will keep playing someone who is constantly scoring own goals for his club and Country.. this shows Southgate is not world cup material or Euros .. not a winner

      As an Everton fan all I can say is we've got far worse defenders than Harry Maguire! The own goal wasn't his fault, Ramsdale should have given him a shout to leave it, it's natural for a defender to stick his foot out. Give the guy some slack ffs!

      Bellingham is 100 times the player Southgate EVER was…..
      It’s obscene hearing Southgate playing down how good Bellingham was & saying he needs to improve !
      This is the TW@t that has McGuire as first name on his team sheet !

      It’s a joke that Southgate is still England manager after proving to be inept at management. He keeps on playing players such as Maguire and Henderson who are both not even good enough to play non league football. England will never win anything with Southgate because he has no understanding of team selection or formation selection and he doesn’t pick players on merit, rather he picks his favorites. The English football team should be selected based on the (latest) players performances at their clubs and not based how a player performed for England years and years ago. Liverpool didn’t offer Henderson a new contract because he is no longer good enough to play elite football and Maguire has been dropped by his club manager a long time ago because his club manager is seeing week in week out how inadequate Maguire is at defense. And with all the previous mentioned points, Southgate still overlooks these facts and keeps on playing the likes of Maguire and Henderson who are both a hindrance to the overall performance of the England team. Southgate must be sacked with immediate effect before the Euros or else England will never win anything with him yet again.
