      Rooney never did it for England. Lampard, gerrard, scholes, beckham, gasgcoine England haven’t won anything since 66. So foden is good but nobody does it for England. If pep comes in foden will do it for England!

      “Phil Foden is light years ahead of Maddison” absolute hyperbole. Yes he’s achieved more in his career but side by side on the pitch it’s hard to say he’s ‘light years ahead’, Maddison is quality.

      I dont see if foden went to spurs he would of had the same impact as madisson has on spurs so far dont get me wrong foden is far more talented but its terms of productivity madisson is ahead im afraid

      I would not be surprised if in a couple years we hear that he has a history of mental health problems. The potential has always been there but many times we heard about him being late City and Dortmund yet on the pitch he was great. I would love to see Sancho get out of England and go Italy or even back to Germany to rebuild himself.

      Foden for me is exactly like Scholes for England, not used in the right position so you never see the best of him. ANY other Intl team in the world the team is built around him not him having to slot in.

      Foden is overrated. Anyone can look decent in that City team. He rarely scores or assists. Maddison and Grealish are both better. I also consider JWP to be more effective.

      Don’t often agree with Rory, but I do on Foden. In Pep’s false 9 system he played a good deal and I don’t know if people are braindead or just suffering from recency bias, but Foden played through a slight foot injury before the WC (look it up it’s been documented)which is why he was absent from the team in the last few games leading up to the WC. He then played through it, did more damage and was out for a while post WC. When he was back up and running, he got appendicitis and was out for another 6-weeks. Or is he supposed to play through foot injuries and surgery?

      Southgate shouldn’t have the job BUT, the opinion of absolute no mark who has ZERO credibility within the game, never played or coached at any level worth competing at, shouldn’t be listed to at all. Rory Jennings is a NOBODY within football. These two are the worst Talksport have to offer.

      i love foden and personally think he is underrated. but he is not miles clear of maddison.

      fantasy land talk from rory. he just has an anti spurs agenda. had a dig at spurs in the sancho bit as well. just focus on finishing top half matey.

      i get that people sensationalise opinions to get clicks and views but the downplaying of fodens ability is just dumb
      how can he "do it for england" if he isnt being given the chance by southgate to do just that?
      if maddison was better than foden, spurs wouldnt have gotten him for 40 mil, surely hed be targeted by a more successful club for 3x the fee
      foden vs saka debates are childish. saka doesnt have significant competition for his spot with arsenal. phil has kevin de bruyne ahead of him. KEVIN DE BRUYNE.
      both are amazing players but very different profiles, phil is more technical, better dribbling, etc whereas saka is a better finisher, has more power, etc.
      thats not to say phil cant shoot or saka cant dribble, they are both great just different profiles.
      basic logic exists people, use it.

      Players need to realise Man Utd destroy careers. Maguire and Sancho used to be great prospects before they went to Man Utd

      Sancho should have stayed at Dortmund and Maguire at Leicester
