Jesus christ, these guys are paid a fortune to talk on a mainstream sports radio station and they get an essential fact wrong about Ramsdale winning against Hungary 4-0 when he lost 4-0.
A lot of people complain about Maguire starting for England when he doesn’t play and Ramsdale is currently playing however there is a very very good chance that David Raya starts for Arsenal pretty soon. So by people’s logic if Raya starts for Arsenal then shouldn’t Pickford or Pope be the starting keeper?
For me Pickford starts as he’s the better out of three and has never done anything to lose his place
Im so sick of hearing “he’s never let England down” whether its Pickford, Maguire, Henderson, Philips. Not let down is not the standard to win tournaments, the standard is exceptional. So pick the best players, those that are top of the league and exceeding expectations.
Player for player only France can match England at the moment. Anything less than the final will be letting us down.
