Imagine if you have a job where suddenly your boss thinks you are no longer needed. Ok, fair enough, you tried to make it work but it didn't happen. Pay what's owed and you'll be on your way out. Only for your boss to demand that you ignore the contract and forget your money.
The players are being felt cheated. Joan Laporta is raising his hands from this matter, saying that the previous administration made these deals. Well, it's not the players' problem is it? The players have taken a pay cut multiple times but you can't repeatedly call them selfish for not bending to your will. Why should they forego the wages they are due.
The most distressing thing is Barcelona making their existing players to take pay cuts and terminate their contract but on the other end buying expensive players on healthy wages.
Inter are also going through a financial crisis, but they are managing it more gracefully.
